KIOTI RX7320 powershuttle building remote gravel camper pad & saving on project costs

Welcome to Project 291! If this is your first video, thanks for joining us today! But this video is just a small piece of the puzzle as we are smack dab in the middle of making improvements to this 291 acre Southern Illinois investment property! In today's episode Pro Staffer Phil will be using his new 2023 Kioti NX5510 compact tractor and like a 100 year old tractor back blade! OK, it might only be like 80 years old, but the point is that you don't need any fancy new implements to build a driveway crown with your tractor! A simple tractor back blade will do the trick just fine! While Phil is working on the gravel driveway section I'll be using my KIOTI RX7320 powershuttle to add a new gravel camper pad next to an old existing concrete pad. Since this is a cost saving project and this is a camper pad, we are not using fabric or base layer stone. It is all clay here, and a simple gravel pad like this will definitely suffice for a camper or equipment parking pad. This entire new section of driveway that Phil was working on was low and always held water for weeks after any rain. So we've been adding dirt to it now for a couple of weeks and it finally dried up enough to build a new crown on the dirt driveay to prepar it for driveway stone. In today's episode we will tackle building this driveway and adding stone and using our Kioti tractors to complete the mission! For this particular gravel camper pad we used 1" clean stone, and this is for a number of different reasons. This is a future hunting camp and not a primary residence, and we are trying to keep on a decent budget for this project. So the ultimate goal from this stretch of new gravel driveway is simply to provide year round access regardless of whether it is in the wet spring, or soggy, snowy winter. So we are using just enough gravel to form the gravel driveway base so that trucks can enter to get to the hunting camp any time of year. Yeh I agree about hydro being simple but still think the power shuttle with the correct gear chosen would do more work than a hydro 🤔 just my opinion 🙄😂👍

Can you raise and curl the bucket at the same time on the Kioti RX? Or does the valve only allow you to operate one circuit at a time? Thanks for the video, I'm considering an RX 7320 vs some of the competitors.

Most every tractor that I can recall usually allows only one function at a time. The other one will work, but at a much slower pace. Even my excavator does the same thing. Technically, they both 'work' at the same time, but one will be greatly reduced. Either way the RX has been a great tractor for sure. Best of luck thanks!
