@@gyansahu2894 I don't know audience is evolved watching Animal or devolved. To each his own. I haven't even watched Animal, neither I want to. I have watched Kabir Singh, and felt everything wrong about that film. In one of the old interviews of Aamir Khan had said, 'its easy for a filmmaker to fall to two tricks, obscenity and anger' - and he almost spilled Vanga's plot, almost 20years back.

@@satyajitsahu i wouldnt agree entirely. Firstly i loved laapata ladies more than animal 100 times better and i used to hate vanga too But recently i gave his films rewacth and i have some strong points to make one is that there are two types of filmmakers ...one who show misogny intentionally and uses it to run the script but also add a touch to it showing that he is aware that the misogny exists and he is only representing it as it is in terms of character choices and not as his agenda. Then there is a dangerous category where directors showcase misogny unintentionally as it exists in society without self reflecting. I think vanga belongs to first category but i think he has a lot to improve in terms of character development that he lacks thats it. Theres a scene for example in animal where ranbir is confessing he has slept with tripti to rashmika and thats a very controversial scene to lot of people but not many focus on rashmika's dialouge in the scene u will observe she is penting out anger exactly the way audience is feeling ab ranbir in movie (as he is not supposed to be liked). That shows how aware vanga is ab that aspect but the way he directs is too raw which is the reason why not all can like it nor do i bcs i just feel something negative in me but that doesnt mean vanga is doing wrong thing.

lapata ladies is a decent movie but not an original script. aaj se lagbhag 15 saal pahle Tv pr ek "Director's cut" ayaa karta tha, usme ek episode tha " ghooghat ke pat khol" . lapata ladies ka main concept usi episode se uthaya gaya hai. sad fact is ki movie "ghooghat ke pat khol" movie youtube se hata di gayi thi lapata ladies ke release ke dauraan.

Gandhi was still a LOT better than the common mass of India. Don't forget that most of the people in the British army were Indian only. There's a reason that only a few people resisted the British. Because most of the population was unconscious, and ignorant. Gandhi was probably a lot better than my and your great grandfather.
