I think I'd tweak and rearrange a few things and colors, but I liked this house. My impression is that Kiran hasn't tried to fit into any particular mould or style or label of decor...she has just gone ahead and used everything she loves and that gives her joy. Hence, there's something very unpretentious, very authentic, spontaneous and fresh about this house 👍 It's not Boho or Shabby Chic, Contemporary or Traditional, Mediterranean or Scandinavian, it's just Kiran being herself 😊 A youthful, cheerful energy pervades it. Being from an Air Force background, watching this actually felt nostalgic. Those white chairs...we had the same chairs in 1986!! My parents also bought bamboo furniture from Tezpur, early 1980s. And the great Indian military trunk! 😁 Har military ghar ki kahaan!! Loved Kuhu's board...very cute kid!! Keep up the vibrant, cheerful energy! Sweet house 😊👍

A lovely house, so full of warmth. I am so happy to find someone who believes in recycling existing artefacts and also the fact that you see beauty in imperfections. I liked your simple hand drrawn pictures and the way you value everything you have collected over the years for the happy memories they carry. I especially loved your daughter's poster board marking the milestones of her Ist year..."I am 2. I have 6 teeth" Never lose this special board ❤ The spacious enclosed balcony overlooking a tree filled open space outside is the best part of the house. But there is something missing. It needs a special touch to make a home charming. And you have that gift. God bless you for cherishing the simple things in life which actually are what makes life beautiful. As for the wooden packing cases you have in your home, they have a special place in my heart too. They bring back many memories of the times, when my Naval father was transferred from one naval base to another. All our prized possessions ( my mother's Singer sewing machine , a wall mirror[wedding anniversary gift] , framed black and white photographs, her special MADE IN ENGLAND tea set, 2 Primus stoves their cousin ..an ancient sigdi, and one huge idli grinding stone )..these eight things followed us every where) went into those wooden cases and were loaded into naval trucks for their onward journey. Like you, my mother, took great pride in making each new naval accomodation a beautiful home. For you it's your sweet drawings. For her it was her hand embroidered table cloth, cushion covers and tea cosies. Thank you for welcoming me into your HOME SWEET HOME. I wish you and your family peace , good health and happiness wherever you go.
