Sanjay Gandhi National Park - SGNP Mumbai

The Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) located in the heart of Mumbai city in Maharashtra, the urban wilderness that is surrounded by a population of about 20 million people. Located in Borivali in the Northern Suburbs of Mumbai, it's home to 274 species of birds, 35 species of mammals, 78 species of reptiles and amphibians, 150 species of butterflies and staggering 1300+ species of plant. Consisting of about 104 sq. km. of pure wilderness is a treasure trove of biodiversity and more interestingly it forms about 20 percent of Mumbai’s metropolitan area.
Sanjay Gandhi National Park is said to be one of the most visited national parks in Asia. According to estimates, around 2 million visitors visit this park annually. Among the several attractions of the Krishnagiri Upavan is a mini-zoo, a crocodile park, and a lion and tiger safaris through the natural habitats of these animals. A narrow-gauge train travels around the tourist zone showcasing parts of the forest's rich biodiversity. Boating facilities such as two-person, pedal-powered boats are available. Two watchtowers afford panoramic views of the park.

My childhood was in Mulund where I use to go tracking from Mulund side till tulsi lake regularly and sometime like maha-shivratri till Kanheri cave as well. These days it's easy to get in to hills and walk till Tulsi lake. Builders and politicians poached the area where two small hills where there... I talking about Yogi hills and area near by it. It was much beautiful than what it was.

Wonderful cinematography, the way camera floats in air, the sound synchronizing with the scene, the unique angle view of Mumbai city at the beginning, and what should i say for the scene when the bird fly over camera floating in air, and so many things!!! How this is remarkable but underated at the same time!!! ...its been 5 months but only 5k views on it....very bad thing it is....!!!! The creator deserves far better than this ❤️

Central park is overrated, it's just 3.5sqkm. On the other side SGNP is 90sqkm which is largest park in any megacity limits. 90 sqkm park in marely 600sqkm megacity with airport right inside the city still leading skyscrapers city in India🇮🇳🇮🇳. If slums were redeveloped with proper planning and greener spaces with roads widened, no city in the world could compete Mumbai 🙌🏼
