Kirby Air Ride (which I spend the entire review misnaming Kirby's Air Ride) a game that has neatly nothing acutally overtly good about it. Yet it's a game that you just can't hate. One of the most conflicting games I've ever played, Kirby Air Ride.

I think Kirby Air Ride could really benefit from a remake on the Switch, they could write in a story and add in more tracks, vehicles and characters and if it does well they could make a sequel.

This sounds like a literal dream. Especially with the particularly special multi player abilities of the switch... And the simplistic controls would so, so lend themselves to using a single joy-con. Ugh, A dream.

The Kirby anime has no continuity with the games, so all that stuff about Star Warriors, NME, and Kirby being basically a toddler don't apply. In fact, it's implied that video game Kirby is actually really smart despite his exterior.

Hell yes, I've waited so long for you to review this! My older brother and I would spend so many hours in city trial, and I think you took the words out of my mouth. Great vid as always TGX! I forgot to mention that I played it on Dolphin this year and while I found it fun nostalgically, un-nostalgically I'd have to agree. The game's fine, but Top Ride has to go and city trial needs to have more options, it's incredibly fun lemme play it endlessly, PLEASE!

This game has a lot of similarities to sonic riders. The graphical design, fast pace, cool ways of transporting to different parts of the map and the drifting mechanics. You may like it if you enjoy this but want a game a bit more happening. Just a suggestion.

I don't think me being a Kirby fan is the reason why I love Kirby Air Ride because if that were true I think I'd love Kirby Squeak Squad all the same but I find that game incredibly underwhelming. That is, I liked how even though Kirby Air Ride is a simplistic racing game, I thought it was fitting for a Kirby game considering Kirby games are usually simplistic in design and gameplay. I wasn't expecting this game to play like Mario Kart or Diddy Kong Racing when first trying it out. I was expecting it to find a way to naturally transition the simplistic, fun and unique gameplay of the Kirby adventure platformers and successfully implement it into a full racing game and I think that's exactly what Hal did. However unfortunately, simplicity isn't usually something people enjoy the most when it comes to racing games since it tends to lose the attention span of gamers from them being boring to play. People usually like to find a fine line in between simplicity and difficulty with racing games. In other words: easy to learn, hard to master and that isn't the case for Kirby Air Ride. Anybody could potentially master the game without much practice excluding a mode like City Trial since it has the most depth, but with that being said.... I actually enjoy all of the modes that this game has to offer, yes even Top Ride because it felt like a mini racing game (which the small how to video describes it as) with chaotic yet fun elements, such as using items that feel a bit Mario Kartish. Either way, it saddens me that this game didn't turn out to be as successful as most of the platformer Kirby games, and while I don't think it's amazing.... I believe out of all Kirby spinoff games, I feel like Kirby Air Ride is the most fun.
