He was once a very greedy and Tyranical ruler who was somewhat obsessed with power in some cases, but has now become one of kirby's best chums now being very protective of Dream Land. Hell, can't forget his actions in Brawl's Subspace Emissary as well, he was trying to save characters who were turned into trophies. Same said for Mera Knight, as he was once hell bent on conquering Dream Land, but now acts as a protector tho still considers Kirby his rival.

@@dantemustdie00 Meta Knight was never a villian in fact he was never heck bent on conquering dreamland. Every time meta knight fought kirby it was either him being possessed by an evil being or stopping kirby from summoning evil. Like in Kirby: Nightmare in dreamland, a nightmare was sealed inside the fountain of dreams and meta knight alongside king dedede were trying to keep the evil trapped to protect dreamland but KIRBY beat them both and RELEASED the nightmare. In fact KIRBY helped magalor get the master crown. KIRBY was the one who brought the evil to power in most cases. But also im pretty sure your confusing meta knight and DARK meta knight.

I actually quickly came to really like the beast pack, especially Leon and carol. Leon is a good king who sadly was corrupted by eilfilis’ evil half after entering the lab for the first time and carol was a loving queen who just wanted to help her beloved come back to his senses. In her trophy description it even said she tried learning the language of the human lab people in efforts to reconnect with Leon after his corruption because she loved him so dearly and firmly believed he had some sort of justifiable reason for acting differently. She believed in him always. Sadly her investigating the lab and Leon’s strange behavior got her along with the rest of the pack possessed to. Luckily for Carol though she managed to break her possession with the help of Kirby and even saved good eifilis at the end of the game as well as helped save Leon to by gathering the pieces of his soul. It was adorable seeing them be together again and see carol jump to hug him

Dedede was only a villain in the first game. In the following games (Dreamland 2, Super Star, Dreamland 3, etc.) until Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards had a rivalry with Kirby, due to envy and selfishness. However, in that game Dedede began to enjoy being Kirby's companion, helping him on his adventure and defeating the greater evil. In Kirby's Return to Dreamland they could already be considered friends, rivals, but friends (like Ryu and Ken), since he was willing from the beginning to help Kirby (not like in Kirby 64), and always supported him throughout the adventure. In Kirby's Triple Deluxe he was possessed, so his actions don't count. Also, at the end of the game he helps Kirby along with Taranza to beat Sectonia (and I'm not counting Dedede's Tour). In Planet Robobot and in Star Allies he doesn't have much involvement, but in both games he is seen as someone good. Now, with the release of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, we can assure you that he is a hero. From being the gluttonous, selfish, capricious and selfless penguin, he became someone kind, willing to help and even sacrifice himself for his friends. That, as simple as it was, is character development. (Sorry for my language, I don't speak english so I use the Google translater)

When I first played through this, I always thought that the “Automatic Language Detection” bit was referring to the tour breaking the fourth wall by detecting the language of the Switch (and by extension, the language the player themself understands) Always made things a bit more creepy that way

Minor theory: Leon mentions when you meet him in Lab Discovera that the people of the Forgotten Land left their home and entered a "land of dreams". This could be interpreted as the idea that they found Dreamland on Planet Popstar and lived there before the events of the Kirby series. However, when you enter Isolated Isles to save Leon from Forgo's clutches, it's refered to as a place Forgo created from dreams. The only way Kirby is able to find Leon inside is because of Clawroline's personal attachment to Leon, acting as a sort of tether which creates the portal in Waddle Dee Town. If Forgo was the reason the people of the Forgotten Land entered a "land of dreams", it probably means they were all taken to the same empty space that the Isolated Isles takes place, probably lost forever, as no one who remembers them was left behind.
