Fun Fact: The moon warrior masks Dedede and Meta Knight's theme at the final chapter in solo mode is actually a mashup of the King Dedede theme, Masked Dedede, VS Meta Knight theme, and Halbard theme with a touch of change to the structure of the melody setting up a jazzy smooth relaxed, but sinister all put together creating a mashup, remix, and arrangement all in one.

I didn't blame you for not knowing the implications of Galacta Knight in Super Kirby Clash. It was the most cryptic the series' lore has been. It was in a non-canon spin-off game and the attack itself could easily be dismissed as a reference. As for lore in this game, it couldn't be harder to miss (the opposite of Super Kirby Clash in terms of being cryptic), so I'm surprised you didn't bring it up, even if it's a small lore drop. It's brought up in the text blurb before the first Shadow Kirby fight in Story Mode, and all of his pause screen descriptions make it clear too. He is 100% the same Shadow Kirby from Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. Despite how it all looks, he isn't evil, he's just playing a prank (according to the pause description of his second to last fight). It is the most "Kirby" explanation to having to fight a previously established good guy (outside them getting possessed by Dark Matter, of course) and I love it.

I think there might actually be a tiny bit of lore in the fact that the masks triple D and Meta put on are highly likely to be Dark matter relics like the Master Crown. So in the final fight, there actually was a bit more at stake since the masks where actually evil and could be a potential threat to Dreamland with the power of Dedede and Meta knight in their grasp.

Since the ‘villains’ of the story mode are mainly good guys in the newer games, and they weren’t threatening anything, my head cannon for the plot hole is that they just wanna battle for fun

One problem Kirby copy abilities, We could go the route I prefer and have switch abilities quickly and not needing to inhale any one Or we could emphasize the unlimited power they have hinted at in the Kirby lore and have go fill dragon ball and shoot energy stars for the base form and treat the abilities like customers with different movements attached to them Or OR PLS HEAR ME OUT Make it a prequel to the Kirby series like age of calamity Ya know how the anime gave of pretty good back story for Kirby and meta knight, but then the elite Kirby professional theorists said no Maybe we can finally have canon take of that backstory A war between the Kirby race and the dark matters Galatca knight staring out as young solider trying to battle the lust for power deep inside, meta knight finding Galaxia Seeing what happened to the humans on shiver star or escort mission sending a hidden package to space ship heading for popstar but it's really a sleeping Kirby so they put him somewhere safe so he can grow up and get stronger to defeat zero Or even going the legend Arceus route and having your team being the ancestors of the main characters

I can see why you start back on floor 1 on each difficulty. I think it's because so that you can replan your strategy on the items that you choose. On my playthrough of the final chapter I focused mainly on Attack Power and Health and also helped my ally power up as well as stacking as many boss stickers that I can. If you were to do just 1 run of all 50 floors and make a realization that the items you choose are not going to help, you are screwed so that's why you always start back at floor 1

Sleep Kirby deserves to be an available Copy Ability in this game, Battle Royale took a Copy Ability that's used as a trap for Kirby in the main games, and worked it into having it's own moveset.

The second phase of the final boss is actually a Mashup of Meta Knights and Masked Dedede's theme combind into one. It's one of the best themes in the intire kirby series in my opinion.

For me personally, this game has been a fun grind. So far I have reached Fighter Rank 100, at 87% completion, have 5 more fighters I need to beat story mode with, before I lose my sanity trying to beat Single Handed Mode with nearly every single fighter (which at least you don't start at the beginning of a run when you die cause otherwise I wouldn't even attempt it with how difficult those enemies are on my first look with Hammer Kirby) and right now I have reached 105 hours according to my switch, so this game has to be doing something right.
