Excellent series, thank you! Thinking of doing a functional restore on my old Gen 3 and the information here will be invaluable.

your polish job came out just like mine did. I need to replace my cord, rear wheels and the belts. I fitted a led bulb in mine. I got the whole set up for 20 usd as well. How do you know where to set the brush height?

Do you have any 1930's and 40's models?

I was wondering if this would fit my tradition since I upgraded bag hose the big black one like in your g3 and has the twist bag holder like yours?

Great restoration. I'm currently doing a light restoration basically just a very good cleanup on mine but one thing that's definitely bad is the handle pivot. I see you rebuilt the old one with a new one. How did you do it? Thanks

I'd highly recommend just putting a new one in. The only reason I rebuilt the one was for historical accuracy.

@@PerformanceReviews Are they not easily available? Like you said one nice thing about Kirby is how long they make parts available. I sure wish that was the case with Royal, almost 100% of the service parts are now unavailable for my canister vacuum (granted it is over 20 years old now).

When should be a good time to change a diamond edition cord that is not yellowed in anyway shape or form. Should I wait for it to catch fire? Lmao
