Some of the bosses in this game are kinda messed up, in a good way. Wispy walks, Dedede floats in an unnatural way, expressionless, and has a giant mouth across his waist, and the secret final boss is quite gory and even uses its own blood as a weapon.

The funny thing is is that if Dark Matter and Zero are considered different bosses, the smallest boss (Adeleine) was also the strongest boss (she took longer to kill than any other boss, and only 6 seconds less than Dark Matter and Zero combined) if the paintings are all considered to be one boss.

It's not the Star rod it's the Love Love stick, and since it's mandatory to have it to defeat Dark Matter and Zero in the Story mode. the game gives that ability for the final boss.
