My mom has had a Sentria for years. I just learned that she bought a Shark and hasn't been using it. She said the Shark pretty much moves on its own, so I quickly sent her a video of my sentria driving itself across my living room. She said you can see the rug being pulled up when you vacuum. I said old news, Kirby does that too. She hasn't replaced the brush roll since she has gotten it. She could have just spent 40 bucks on a new belt and brush roll and maybe some bags and it would have given her everything if not more than the shark. Whatever Ill take that Kirby.

I have the Kirby G 5 . I got it at a thift store & cleaned it up & put a new bag & belt & roller brush & good as new & it does a great job ! In fact it will hold up the carpet !

Same but with a "g8" or sentria for 99 usd and 30 percent off so it was a mere 60 dollars and with a mere purchase of a single screw and spring for simply my preference of choosing to do so... repair the cord hook by replacing the missing screw spring... but yes, it worked, and now even the power assist works, and for the value it is a normally several thousand dollar machine, but for mere 60 dollars, I got the same.

Someone put this Sentria in the dumpster today, I pulled it out, clean it, clean the tangled hairs from the rolling brush, put in new bag and belt from Walmart, now it runs and works like a champ😊

Just found this model in the dumpster at work with the caddy and accessories. My buddy used to be a door to door salesmen for Kirby and he says it’s one of the best. Just bought some replacment bags and will fire it up soon. It does work and does it have power.

I love my Kirby, I still have a like new G5. It is my favorite because of the color. I also have a heritage II (in great working condition). I have to say I miss many of the classic attachments as well and collect them. I have items like the hair trimmer and the jigsaw. I absolutely love the versatility, strength, and long life that comes with a Kirby. Thank you Kirby for releasing some of classic Kirby operation videos. I just enjoy sitting and watching them sometimes.

Well, my durable plastic attachment hose to canister cracked, so I now duct tape together to use attachments. The plastic crevice tool cracked along the seam where I duct taped that too! The best attachement tool didn't come with my kit, so I had to purchase the $75 zipp brush separately that I have needed to clean screens, living room pillows, futon mattresses! My local distributor was another island away on Oahu to get my fan and cam replaced and motor tuned up.

My mom had the Kirby Heritage when I was a kid in the 80's. I bought a second hand Heritage for $250.00 from an older woman who did not like taking it up and down her stairs. After going through five plastic vacuum cleaners I found my Sentria on Craigslist. This has the Tech Drive which makes it really easy to use. Kirby makes the best vacuum cleaners hands down, but I could not afford to buy a new one for $1200. I clean my carpets, mattresses, furniture and wood floors. I don't understand anyone would not love these Kirby machines. No, I don't work on commission for Kirby. 8)

We agree that the Handi-Butler was a great accessory, but unfortunately, there was not a strong demand for it and it was discontinued. As a result, the Handi-Butler section of the owner video was removed. The video posted here on KZbin is the version that most consumers received. Thanks for your comments!

hey guys this is a awesome video i am now a owner of a g10 sentria as of about 2 months ago absolutely nothing wrong with the machine it runs fantastic tech drive is very smooth it is from 2011 know the sentria 2 come out in 2012 thats gonna be the next one i try and find also noticed the tech drive isnt as loud as my g4s are to which i also like about my sentria im a huge fan of the sentrias never thought i would ever get one of my own a friend of mine i hang with his friend as a sentria before i ran his i didnt think id like it because im used to the older ones but the mnute i ran a frend of mines friends sentria i was like man i have to get me one and i got one given to me i actually enjoy my sentria alot i do quite a few videos of it and i hope my sentria never quits because i really like this machine alot

The declared cost/price of these vacuums is $1300-1400, despite them only costing $200 to manufacture from what a friend of mine who use to sell these told me. The biggest problem isn't the vacuum, but the crackhead sales tactics and how they are based upon commissions. These should be sold in stores for $400-500 bucks and NOT by in home salesman, who work on Commission.

They cost like that because of the service that have been putted in this product. And despite the cost, you won't spend $200 on disposible vacuums. And lastly they aren't just sold by a salesman, you can also buy them online, which is the way I bought my G6, Avalir, and Sentria 2.

while im sure the sentria is a great system, i dont see what has really changed since the G3 was first introduced. i see styling changes but not much else. i hope people continue to buy your products because i think you make the best machine anyone produces and i hope you are still around producing great machines made in the USA; i just find it unlikely i would ever purchase one brand new. i bought a tradition for $25; a G6 for $20 and a heritage I for $100 15 years ago. i love them all

Led head lights now and poof the now gone aka no longer there where the back of the upright handle is had since from the early 1970s models of kirbys through the last of the kirby ultimate g series diamond edition not the prior ultimate g series but the ultimate g series diamond edition is the last one with the coin depsoit slot for in the back of the upright handle is or has the coin slot for temporarily depositing the coins or for loose change from on the floor when vacuuming instead of just sucking up coins or metals lest it destroy the amodel polymer fan

My son just started working for the company and I bought one for $1700. We have had it for 12 years and all I ever got out of it was a gouge in our new wood floor from trying to move the albatross from the living room to the kitchen. It smells like s---. Thank goodness we have other vacuums to fall back on. So it sits in the basement. Now it's time to shampoo the carpet (our great Bissel Shampooer was a trade in for this). I can't comprehend the instructions. I am actually fearful of the machine. Needless to say, my son was never paid for traveling all over to sell for them and selling a $500 (?) machine for $1700. The work relationship lasted 2 weeks I think. I still feel like an idiot, since I knew the history of the company. All the furniture is moved and I can't put the thing together to clean the carpet. I could at least use some comprehensive instructions.

Hello, I need the user manual for the Kirby Sentria G10D I went to Kirby.com and I find they have two manuals for download. I also see that one manual is for the Sentria II and the other is for the Sentria. Are these manuals the same ? or is one more specific ? I just purchased a Kirby Sentria G10D... I'm interested in the carpet shampooer, and I'm finding them in great condition on EBay, But sense I'm new this new generation of Kirby, I'm not sure what carpet shampooer will fit my G10D ? When it comes to the shampooer, can you tell me the model numbers or the generation numbers that will fit my kirby ? There are several and I'm just not sure, and don't want to purchase one that I will have to return.... Thanks again for your help.
