I’ve been called a white monkey by dark skinned ppl and was bullied all through elementary school because I’m light skinned and I lived in the hood. I still get references to being “high-yellow” and not black enough because of it like i chose my skin color. Colorism goes both ways. And in terms of being bullied for features, you best believe they took every shot they could at these plump black lips lol If you say you treat me badly because white ppl “prefer” me, how is that fair or any different than what they do to us?

Also, also colorism is does go both way but its an ism that speaks to how lighter skin is preferred or viewed as more beautiful.
