I had a debate with a few people as to if Magolor has truly redeemed himself. Personally I think he has. I mean I think the worst thing we can say he's done was lie. The moment he put the crown on it possessed him. He wasn't himself anymore. The final boss feels more like you're trying to free Magolor from the control of the crown than you're actually fighting him. The eye in the second phase could have been a clue all this time.
