Very informative video. That Brushroll was a sight to behold. Appreciate the process as it’s a confidence builder for tear down. Curious to see how you’ll tighten the bag clamp strap. Hello, Great video! Ive just stripped a motor down that I bought 2nd hand. I'd just like to share with people that when removing the armature, there is not only the Finger Spring that was shown in your video, there is a Tolerance Ring and a Static Washer in the bearing housing (both were damaged) Im struggling to find these two components in the UK

My Sentria 1 was in awful shape with respect to how clean it was. When I first turned it on to test it, my basement workshop was filled with the most foul smell I've gotten from a vacuum in a long time. It took a full tear down to get it clean, the outer bag was the worse part because someone had used it without an inner bag. It was full of human hair so maybe a salon used it? The brush roll was so covered in hair, some of the bristles had been pushed flat so long they never popped back up so it needed replacement. It also had a fair amount of mold in the fill tube and emptor which took disassembling it and soaking and scrubbing it for at least a couple hours. I ended up soaking the tube in a bleach mix to at least kill any nasties hiding in there. It took pretty much a full day of cleaning to get it back to a not-disgusting shape. That said, it worked perfectly and it got it for $15 at a thrift store, so I cannot really bitch too much. The only things missing were a bag and belt and the needed brush roll.

These are probably my favorite videos to do as i love to see how much of an improvement i have made. Plus you can get some bargain Kirby that once fully refurbed are as good as a new one
