Me too! The craftsmanship is unreal. And I’m very happy to see the Foster & Son legacy living on. Simon is very much committed to practicing the craft in the most traditional sense.

Muy interesante legado Kirby, siempre nos sorprenden tus trabajos porque no sólo desde lo familiar, tener zapatos personalizados es un maravilloso deseo de muchos.

Very interesting to see how a house like FostersSons has transitioned over the years; now with sending out parts of the shoes to be made by other crafts-maker I have an even higher appreciation for the Lobbs of the world

I’ve seen the Canons product and can personally vouch for it. It is a very, very well-executed bespoke shoe. As good as any. They are practicing their craft in the strictest traditional sense using only the best makers. The product is truly exceptional. I already have one pair from Canons and I am very, very happy with it.

Kirby, you & Eddie Sahakian should do a podcast together “The Gentleman podcast” I think that would be huge. You two are great together 👍

Any chance that a bespoke watch box video is in the works? I've been looking at Hawthorne, but can't find anyone that actually has one.

Hi kirby, any plans on bespoke overcoat from saville row?

I don’t have a bespoke overcoat from Savile Row… but if I were to have one made, what would you suggest and from whom??
@ChandraShekar-pr9hy3 күн бұрын
@kirbyallison chittleborough and Morgan. I was thinking of a great coat in heavy tweed tan or grey colour . I hope u like the suggestion. But I would be happy with whatever the colour, fabric or maker. You inspired me so, I would be happy with your selection.

@@kirbyallison Are you aware of Michael Browne? A bespoke overcoat was showcased by Permanent Style not long ago. His work is sublime.

I know people want handmade things but using a 3D scan of your foot then use a cnc machine to cut it out would be a perfect representation of your foot. Would speed up the process ten fold unless I’m missing something. I know he did this in a previous episode I can’t think why doing it by hand would be better I suppose you could first do it by 3D scanner then finish it off by hand.
@scoobysnacks2094 күн бұрын
just because you just cant beat handmade and tradition and this is why fans of tradition like kirby shop here and as i am a fan of tradition also in my own rite i would also do the same if i could afford it

Not having been to Canons, but having been to and walked past Fosters for over 40 years, I have always felt that the last of the new Canons seems flat and "banana boat" like - low lace area, lower vamp, and curled up toe - not sure if its the lens perspective on their instagram - they have lovely photos, but maybe they could change the distance or angle to highlight each individual shoe more - to me it seems a break from the great lasts of the past - is this just me?
@AlgoNudger3 күн бұрын
Why he didnt just use 3D scanner and 3D printer? 🤔

Take a look at our Carmina video. They are using this technology with success. Still a long ways off from true bespoke, but a good step in the right direction!
