Thank you for the video, Harley-Davidson man. I was with Co C 3/36th Inf "Bayonets" (Weapons Platoon, 81mm mortars and TOW), Jan 1974 - May 1975. Remember some of the boys like it was yesterday...and also the drip cans under the APCs at the motor pool, ha ha. Great Plt Sgt, PSG Hooks and good LTs.

Was there in 76-78, a great experience as Medic with HHC 2/32nd Armor Division, drove an APC, lived in the motor pool inhaling all of that pollution when there running to stay warm, played war games with the French and Brits, just fond memories of such a clean country with green landscapes. great jagerschnitzel beer. Did some travel to France and England. So glad I came across this video, thanks for the memories.

I left in Jan 1990. You came 3 years after I left. I hope you have great memories like I do. Funny how we never realize how impactful a place will be in our lives until years later. it's sad that "The Rock" doesn't exist anymore but there are a lot of memory floating around that place. At least the Welcome Inn is still standing

I remember hearing stories about Axl Rose being in your unit 2/32 armor. He does have the unit Crest tattoo on his arm. Did you know him? Suppose to been early 80s when you were there

@@tray-oq1nj unfortunately I never saw or met him.I did see him with L.A.Guns Who opened for ACDC In Sacramento. That was before they became Guns and Roses.I sent a picture of Axle Roses tattoo to four of my Army buddies but nobody ever knew about them. Man we gotta know some of the same people. I know one that you would probably remember. How about Msgt Charles Cue? Real tall big black Master Sgt, or Sgt Maj Thompson or Major Luchavic not sure if I spelled his name correctly. I remember that all three of those men served in Vietnam and then went to iraq for desert storm. Sounds crazy like two different lifetimes apart.
