If your buying new then yes the pro is a better deal but ive bought the ps5 slim 6 ish months ago for 300 and it was only a few months old with controller. You can pick it up in great condition with a controller for 250ish now prolly depending on were u live in fb marketplace

I have PS5 Pro. And across ALL games the Pro hardware is noticed. Games are buttery smooth and look better from base model. TDUSC stills needs work but we are getting closer and closer, Pro version of TDU so much better than OG PS5

@@unempoleon It's not an issue now, but if Sony gets away with this scam, then they will charge $1K+ for the PS6 for sure. They are no longer looking for a little loss and then profit out of software/disk sales, which you know, is the whole point of getting a cheap console to be able to play new games at reasonable performance. I am honestly done with consoles at this point, no games that I can't get on PC and now I have to pay an arm and a leg to get a disappointing update.

The slim offers no tech advantage other than being slimmer and newer, therefore the original PS5 should either be discontinued or have its value lowered to 400£, the slim should be at 449£ and the pro (taken into account its stats and ability, some of which was falsely advertised when the PS5 original came out) should be 649£ WITH disc drive included as a nod to all those customers that were falsely advertised and Sony's redic procedure for obtaining one. Because Xbox has effectovely given up, it means that Sony can corner the market and charge what they want due to lack of competition.

Upgraded from PS5 to PRO. Samsung 55"QLED VRR ALLM 120 Hz. I'm more than happy so far with 4K 120Hz on GT7 with Fanatec setup. F*** the haters 😅

Doesn't matter if games aren't patched. They still benefit from higher framerates, better frame pacing, less judder, and VRR. In fact, most games already had Pro settings built in. It's the Quality graphics setting. Don't need patches to use it.

Yes and no. You can't play GT7 on PC. Also PSVR2 just works on PS5. No fiddling around with settings and what not, it just works. I have my PS5 strictly for GT7 PSVR2 more or less. I play other games sometimes but mostly GT7. I've got a decent gaming computer with a Q2 for PCVR. I can't justify upgrading to the pro right now but it looks like GT7 will have some decent improvements from it. Looking forward to the future of the Pro. I'm not a fan of how the console looks but that's superficial really.

I have the original PS5 and I'm really struggling to see the difference between the pro. It's not worth the money if you gotta look through a 'microscope' to see the difference. Rather keep your cash and get the PS6 when that releases if you have the original PS5. In my opinion. I feel like the Pro versions are just a money grab from playstation.

Tdu Sc still looking very bad for a 2024 open world racing game and it's not at 4k at all. It's just upscaled image. Motorfest too. On regular ps5 Motorfest is running just under 1440p in performance mode and now on ps5 pro is around 1800p if i remember correctly. But The Crew Motorfest looks amazing compared to Solar Crown. Don't get me wrong, ps5 pro capability to run optimized games at quality mode with smoother framerate it's a nice change but not for 700$... And it's not magically fixing the TDU game. This is not acceptable for a new game with AAA price to run and look like that. This is still like a pre alpha version for me. And in PS5 Pro case.. no stand, no disc drive and no new games for this console? They even get you no name hdmi cable and usb-c for that price. It's just sad in my opinion.

Can anyone help?.The Crew Motorfest. How do you choose between Graphics or performance mode on the PS5 Pro? You said only on the standard PS5 has that option but I don't see that either? You said there isn't a choice? It just says SRGB or HDR I don't see any options on the Pro under the visuals tab.

£700 is too much for a Console, even with the Big Graphical Improvements, you can get those same Improvements, and more, from a £800 Small Form Factor PC, and, well, if you want a Disk Drive... you are Paying £800! Absolute Rip off! £600 is the Limit for a Console, anything over £600 and you may as well go Small Form Factor PC. PS5 Pro is at best Overpriced and at worst is a Scam! Improvements or Not! £600 is the absolute Limit for a Console!

F1 to me looks the most impressive of all I’ve seen on here pro from these guys reviewing so far. As far as the pro improving them. Other than ff7 . I’m sure the pro will improve them more. I just prefer shooters on Xbox cause of the triggers.

If you play GT7 mostley or PS5 exclusives 50%+ of the time i get it. But for thoose that use mixed platforms its not really worth it, can get a 100% performance increase on PC GPU when 5000 series comes in a few months for a tiny bit extra then have a top great 4k PC for 3-4 years and grab a PS6 after that

I agree with you, nah PS5 Pro look same but small different with PS5. If you have PC gaming you need waiting RTX 5080 this big changer with DLSS 4. Forget about console, I never want touch my PS5 after play in PC with 4K TV, the graphics much better on PC. PS5 Pro still have graphics mode, nah I stressful when play in 4K 30 fps with low ray tracing in PS5.

You also have to remember that none of these games were designed and coded with PSSR in mind. Everything we are seeing is just patched on. In an interview with the developers of F1 2024, they said if they had been given more of a heads up by Sony on what they were developing in the pro, there would have been even more improvements to the current game. I am looking forward to seeing how games will look with PSSR implemented from the beginning of development.

What's truly unforgivable is it's 2TB and you still don't own the space. You can't have automatic unlimited replay saves in Gran Turismo 7 and you'll lose all your replays when you switch over... But all the lies at big sites made false claims they double down on that they're all saved in the cloud in your game save size. Paying for PlayStation Plus premium and you can't use your space as you need to. Time for a class action lawsuit.

Im actually disappointed at least with GT7. It looks less crisp then on PS5 and PS5 slim. Like it took a hit In resolution. Its really meh looking most of the times. There are certain weather conditions that makes the game look nice but most of then time it looks so underwhelming compared games like Forza Horizon. Same goes for FM even more disappointing as a whole game not just graphics. GT7 at least has great physics that can cover up for the graphics, FM has nothing.
