Kirinyaga MCA Lucy Njeri Mourns Daughter's Tragic Death Amid Calls for Justice

The family of Lucy Njeri, a nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA) from Kirinyaga, is in mourning following the tragic death of her 23-year-old daughter, Seth Nyakio. Nyakio, a recent graduate of Zetech University, was found murdered in her home in Thika’s Biafra area on October 14, 2024.

I am a mother of a daughter and I am telling you that our very beautiful n lovely daughters below 30yrs,are giving parents sleepless nights not knowing where they are.They will tell you that one is going out with friends at a certain place only to find out that she is kilometres away.I know many Parents are just quite but our daughters are also killing us slowly through stress.Pole mum.

Interviewers should be more empathetic and avoid using hard language like murder and death. Also learn from international interviewers how to show empathy to your interviewee. Tell her that you are very sorry for her loss and that you cannot imagine how brave she is to talk about her daughter's demise so soon. Stop just jumping like a kangaroo into the discussion as if you are talking about a menu. Personally, this interview rubbed me the wrong way.
