So I'm not sure whether you seen Bleach but the best way to explain Enhance Armament and Release Recollection is the Shikai and Bankai, the first stage is a controlled partial release of the weapons ability the second stage is the full release of all the weapon power and memory which is generally uncontrollable

The lower numbers don’t make the Knights stronger. They actually have an actual ranking Alice being ranked 3rd. Synthesis is basically a way to know witch one has been a knight fo r the longest. Synthesis 1 is the first knight ever. These girls are synthesis 27 meaning they were knights before Alice but Alice is ranked as the 3rd.

Not really anime skipped the details, after being receelieved from the experiments, Linel and Fizel wanted to be Integrity Knights, they murdered the prior Synthesis 28 and 29 and took their roles hence why they don't have any special equipment as Administrator granted their wish but made them apprentice first.

Yeah. For example, even though Alice is numbered as "30", she is currently the second strongest Knight, having the potential to eventually surpass Bercouli, who is numbered as "1". Similarly, Renly Synthesis 27, even though he is numbered at "27", is a child prodigy who won the Unity Tournament at the mere age of 14. Meanwhile, we don't even know who numbers 3 or 4 are; we only know that they aren't among the 7 high ranking knights. Point is, number doesn't matter.

Bercouli's memory release literally takes 10 minutes of setup to execute so Sheyta (armed with a blade that can cut through anything as stated by Quinella, as well as an incarnation that allowed her to cut through a minion with her bare hands as well as leave a mark in an immortal object with a regular sword) would cut right through his time splitting sword in seconds. On top of this, Sheyta is stated equal in skill to Bercouli twice. Once by Bercouli himself (who admits he'd be afraid to fight her) as well as once by Kirito (who is by far the most powerful and skilled swordsman the underworld has ever, and will ever see.). And your statement about Alice is just wrong, she can perform extremely powerful sacred arts with a ton of prep time, sure, she has a very spammable perfect weapon control due to her sword having infinite life, yes, but none of this really would help her in a fight against someone much faster and much more skilled in battle than her, with a sword that could oneshot her without sword skills. Also if you're trying to day she's like a god based on her final fight, the only reason she was at all useful in that fight was because she had the right tool to strike thousands of umbral elements at once.

the knights numbers are not determined by how strong they are, they are just in order of when they where "summoned" by the administrator thats why synthesis 31 was known by kirito and eugeo because he was only recently "summoned" as a knight

Sometimes we don't take enough dimension of how many experience Kirito had before getting to this point. Heck, what he's been through in two years inside Aincrad was insane, life/death experience every single day.

Yep, tons of experience! A couple of years of going to kendo practice with Suguha when he was little, a few months of beta testing SAO, roughly 1.8 years of grinding for EXP in SAO as a full-time job until he hit lvl 96 and reached the limits of solo play, a few weeks of desperately searching for Asuna in ALO, chasing a serial killer in GGO, half a year of casual gaming in New ALO with his friends, one year of martial arts training in Alicization with his senpai Liena plus another year of adventuring with Eugeo due to the fact that time moves way faster in 'Underworld' and if you count the movie 'Ordinal Scale' as canon then Kirito also did 1-2 weeks of AR training (mostly to get in shape cuz he was getting sloppy/fat lol).
