Ik I might be in the minority but kirito vs Eugene was definitely my favorite fight, the ost, animation and choreography was all top tier

Read somewhere that The animation while great for the Eugene fight, didnt give true justice Reason he could block the Gram sword ability Is that he is using the sword as an item being held and game doesnt recognise it as a weapon thus able to block the ability. And everytime he attacks, he is constantly switching between item and weapon slot for both swords. So while its player skill on fighting style, dude was playing hardcore mechanics, thats like nerd tier player skills

Oh really? I always assumed that whilst you couldn’t guard against it, you could parry it. So you could only defeat Eugene by attacking his sword first. I did have the manga that came with a writer’s commentary where he explains that the reason Kirito can dual wield so well in a game that doesn’t support it, is due to the amount of practice he got in SAO. Remember that Kirito maxed out his Dual Blades skill, and had secretly had it for a year before he revealed it to anyone but Liz

i read all the comments here of people talking about how much they loved this and stuff but other places i see so many people shit on the anime and Kirito as a Protagonist myself i like he always comes out on top, i mean he has not always saved everyone and has not always stopped the bad guy before it was too late, but he is a great character, and i saw someone bring up how him and Asuna together was what ruined the anime, i think they have one of the best relationships in anime
