The family didn't know she didn't like him. She was the "good" girl that didn't speak her mind on family matters. The father doesn't know anything other than this guy wanted to marry his daughter and he works for him.

The "marriage" was ceremonial only as they can't legally get married with her in a coma (unable to consent). Instead, he was going to get adopted by Asuna's father. Sugou is a psychotic creep of the worst kind. Kayaba may have been evil to trap so many people but he was a visionary. He wanted to create a virtual world that was as real as the real world. Though, he was a bit hypocritical and cowardly to make himself unable to drop below yellow. Kayaba's goal was also a form of immortality. They don't cover this in the anime, only in the LN, but Kayaba wasn't using a NervGear. He was using a full body machine that performed a deep scan (killing him in the process) and uploaded a copy of his consciousness into the virtual world.

By seeing the openings of this anime everyone thinks this is a very light anime with a lot of fantacy stuff but in reality? It's just so dark you can't imagine 😅 that's one of the reasons why some people "hate" this anime and yeah it wasn't enough for us but for kirito..... So what they are doing, is playing it as marriage, but on paper she will not be married to anyone, instead Asuna's family would adopt Sugou into theirs - so officially Sugou was planning to become her brother, so he could inherit some of the fortune.

Age doesn't really matter here because Asuna cannot give consent to the marriage in her state so they cannot legally marry. Sugou says as much himself in the first episode of the arc, and explains that they only will play it as a marriage, but in reality - on paper he will be adopted by her family, they will join the families (as was planned prior to SAO events) by making him her new brother. This way he would be able to inherit some of their fortune eventually, that's his goal.

After seeing that the bad things he was doing to her and he said it gave her an idea 💡 to actually send this camera recording video as a text message to either the authorities or better asuna father so that he can find out the bad Man Sugo is

@@arcadius3257 The only bad thing about Danzo is that he's not good enough. People are used to making excuses for the bad deeds of the characters they like. There is such a trope - the Magnificent Bastard. This is a man who is like a villain, but you admire him. This is Madara, this is Obito, this is Nagato. But Naruto's story needs a more realistic approach... so Danzō was born. They did not try to justify him, he did not have a difficult childhood or a tearful background. Just a man who tried to do a bad job with bad methods.

If you feel like the scene was not satisfying, then let me remind you that the guy said that anything at 3 or below on the pain absorber will start affecting your physical body outside of the game, Kirito put his to 0, meaning the guy quite literally felt his hand chopped off, his torso cut in half and then a blade going through his eye, skull and brain, basically imagine the worst pain possibly and multiply that by like 10.

Technically depending on the country hes not really a pedo, Asuna at this point is over 17 years old. I know that in US its dependending on the state but most countries in europe consider 15-16 as age of consent and Japan has 13 as age of consent as such hes not a pedo by their laws. Asuna's dad was probably thinking if Sugou married Asuna, his daughter would be with someone he could trust (since he's a friend of the family, and hiding his personality), his daughter would be with someone of the same social standing (since he's got a chief position at her dad's company and she's the daughter of a CEO) , and Sugou would become his son so he could leave the company with him when he retires. Even if Asuna was let out, Sugou planned to basically hack her brain and brainwash her into liking him. I think her dad was thinking more of his company and thought it'd be a safe marriage and Japan does those arranged marriages. He was still being a bad parent though. It's one of those major fears if this kind of brain interface tech comes out. What if the tech could be used to alter your emotions or thinking? People or companies could hack you. On the safe side, the new headset Suguha was using could be unplugged unlike the Nervegear during SAO. If there were reports of people not being able to log out, no one would play Alfheim and they'd be under fire so a company could try being sketchy but would just lose their players and go to jail/get investigated.

What Sugo would actually do after he marries Asuna is that now that he’s part of the yuuki family and has inherited the company there’s would’ve been a part where he actually kicks out both Asuna parents knowing that he doesn’t need them in his business now that he has their fortune, the company and their daughter, and making Mr. Yuuki think that what he did was a horrible mistake and that he lost everything even their daughter. Well, luckily, that didn’t happen if it hadn’t been for kirito who defeated Sugou and free Asuna and the 300 hostages.

I actually would agree with you even for scene like that with the villain and the girlfriend they should really not go a bit overboard with that assaulted/molested scene. And just make it like just a common scene like; Sugou challenging kirito into a swords match but make it unfair for him by using the systems to mess with his skills stats. Or when he appears in the room and he sees sugou and Asuna but she’s been mind controlled by Sugo making her that he’s her true love from Anicrad and make sure fight kirito making her think that he’s the enemy and starts sword fighting him even tho he can’t hurt her. That’s a good idea age rating, right?

FYI, it’s not really the father decision that Asuna would marry the guy. It the mom decision that Asuna have to marry someone that rich/successful. The father only go with it because he don’t want things to crumble. If you can get to watch progressive, you will see the father it’s just neutral toward Asuna choices.

I have to say after hearing kirito discussion to Asuna about how he’s just not the Warriors/hero he thinks, or says he is. Here’s something I think Asuna has to say about: Asuna: 🥹 I know what you say is true, but you know something I’m not as brave and heroic as you think I am either because even though I was a prisoner forced to be in a arrange marriage that I should’ve had say in the manner even if I was still sleeping 😣I still couldn’t even fight back against Sugou even if I wanted to, I was afraid of the power he had and what he done with it to the hostages and me, and then at that moment which your not actually gonna believe by the way is that when I was so close to freeing myself but end up getting caught by those slug goons of his even I wasn’t that tough enough to break free from them and make it out here safely And the only thing I could do is believe that you will come and save me. 😊So if you’re going to try your best and being the brave hero you know you can be, so will I. Because with our love we can achieve and face anything that comes in our way in both SAO and in the real world because our great love was real in SAO it can be in the real world.
