I am 13 years old i just turned 13 in early august my grand ma said to me "you are responsible for your own sin now stop with all this non-sense" So today September 6th 2016 I vow my heart to god I will stay loyal and follow his word.I deleted every song that is not gospel out of my i tunes and i am going to start listening to only gospel. I listen to 2 other songs, waging are by cece winans and smile by kirk Franklin and i played this song on my laptop and looked into the mirror and realized what i need to do i started reading the bible i prayed to god to forgive my sins and release me of any darkness and this was all today September 6th 2016 i am my own enemy i want things to change he knows what's best for... i want to be happpy

I’m a senior in high school, I have parents who have very high expectations of me. Recently I have been avoiding church because of all the sins I’m committing to numb or relive myself from the anxiety and stress I’m going through. I went to church today and I realized how much I missed it. God’s spirit was in me when I went in to the church and I just cried. I heard this song for the first time last week and it had me in tears. I'm now listening to it and I'm bawling. When you've given your all to everyone and then when you need them the most, no one is there for you, it hurts so much and this song is helping me to heal. Sometimes we are our worst enemy. We get into relationships we know have no future, but we do it anyway and when it fails that's when we remember Jesus. This song just hit home on so many levels. Whether it's relationship with a man or your family or friends, remember that you must be happy and fulfilled within yourself before you can let anyone in. No one can make you happy if you're not happy with yourself. To anyone that's going through something right now, I hope you find the strength to be happy and know that you deserve to be happy. My testimony.....So this morning after thanking GOD for everything he's blessed me with, I started talking to God about an ongoing situation in my life where I'm making the same mistakes...I usually speak to God in my car so my radio is turned down. At the end of my prayer, I said, "I'm tired of praying about this. It just seems like nothing is changing anyway" and proceeded to turn up my radio....LOL.....The very end of this song was playing the chorus....I just shook my head, told GOD "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME" LOL...But I told him, I heard him and am listening to him. So I came to work and searched the song because I've never heard it before. This song speaks volumes, so I'm going to work really hard to get out of my feelings and let God take the wheel. He will never put more on you than you can bear. I challenge you to start changing your perspectives about your current situation or life. You can begin to think your way out of it. As a man thinketh, so is he. I want you to go back over that journal and highlight the blessings and victories, no matter how big or small. You will begin to see that God has been sooooo good to you (wow). See him in your pain! You have the ability to make your situation beautiful because He is in the midst. What mighty encounters we can have with our Father in times of sadness, etc. I remember being depressed, not liking my life. I found myself homeless at 19 y/o, in a shelter. However, 5 years later, I was able to secure a job at a homeless shelter serving and counseling homeless people, and guess what? My homeless situation 5 years prior was my only qualification during my interview and I got the job!!! Just know GOD IS INTENTIONAL. Be blessed and I am praying for you and everyone who feels like you!
