As a Sunday School teacher for many years, I found out if the teacher does not have a love for teaching children, when children become adults they look back on the adults in their lives as hypocrites. It starts in the home and in Sunday School. We as teachers parents need to love our children to the Lord!
@kristenspencer97518 ай бұрын
the whole "hypocrites" accusation has become an excuse. Those who don't believe or who struggle with the message look for 100% perfection and are unwilling to accept that some Christians fail b/c they are baby Christians who haven't matured and easily fall prey to sin and may still have a worldly outlook. Mature Christians can even fail BIG TIME like King David did! And there are fake Christians in the church. Those who think themselves to be Christians, but really are not. So when outsiders look in, all they want to do is point out flaws rather than look at their OWN sinfulness. But true believers DO need to take their walk seriously, b/c scripture says we are reps of Christ and if we have a bad witness, it's cause for people to mock and scoff and not take the Gospel message seriously so as to perhaps be saved!

I think it is so important in Christian families to not only discuss doctrine and theology but much much more important to live a Christian life and have your children walk with you through answered prayers. Then and only then will your children meet God and see first hand who He is…the world can’t take that away from them!

"They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. - 1 John 2:19" Be careful that you do not abuse this verse as many have not only abused this verse but also, Hebrews 10:25: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Sometimes people leave a church because despite what is preached from the pulpit, that church practices the exact opposite and is very toxic to members that come to a place of need. While Paul instructed us to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, especially when we see that day approaching, there are times when the toxicity of the church, and one's calling into ministry, requires that we hold the church as a heathen and a publican - Matthew 18:17. Matthew 18:15: Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16: But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17: And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. If the whole church follows the false doctrine of self sufficiency to such a degree that they refuse to help one that has come to a place of need and health debilitation, that church is not a church of Jesus Christ and there is nothing that one can do to address the false doctrine as one is not considered to be a leader, even when one is called into full time ministry. As a result, neither 1 John 2:19, nor Hebrews 10:25 apply. There is one benefit of people harping on these verses though. Anyone that holds to it so sternly as to imply that there are no excuses, you know that you don't want to be assembling with that Jesus hater and the church may very well be toxic. When Jesus gave us the new commandment to "love one another even as I have loved you", He was not talking about having sentimental feelings for one another. He was talking about having each others backs.

Not as simple as it seems! Deception offers enough truth to make it sound Biblical/scriptural. And if it's coming from someone in Authority...a pastor or charismatic teacher, a person wants to believe them. When I was a baby Christian, the church was told by the pastor that you have to love yourself before you can love others...putting a spin on Matt 23:39. There was also a lot of psychology in the church at the time using scripture to back up what humanistic psychologists said. When folks do not know the Word...either they don't read it or are new Christians and haven't had time to get anchored, they can easily fall prey. They are not even aware that they are off course.

Those with avoidant or disorganized attachment style have a hard time trusting in God because they haven't had a secure attachment modeled in their life. It is eye opening. God is the ultimate attachment figure and can heal those deep abandonment wounds. Something to think about.

The evidence indicates Christianity is based on the typical rewards/punishment system common to virtually all religions. Additionally, if the concept of Biblical Grace was true then the feared “Day of Judgement” and Eternal Punishment in Hell would not exist.

New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the first three questions below? Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. It seems like she actually was closer to the actual meaning of deconstruction in her first book than this one. Deconstruction doesn’t assume or presuppose anything other than the notion that it is beneficial or even necessary to question and take inventory of your beliefs and core values. It doesn’t assume that there are even toxic elements of Christian Doctrine or that “the self” is the primary source of truth. It’s just an honest examination of what you claim to believe and why you believe it down to a granular level. If after that assessment, you still cling to those beliefs, you still deconstructed. Deconstruction doesn’t automatically mean or lead to deconversion.

"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. The scriptures make it clear, that we should not follow feelings, but rather,- the just shall live by faith!" There is a trap in the words you speak. The Pastor teaches that you are to "take a step of faith". You take a step of faith and nothing goes as you expected it to go. The Pastor that told you to take a step of faith, now rejects both your faith and your calling because your step of faith did not bring about what was expected. Where the Pastor preaches "give and it shall be given", he now practices; "there is no free money". Where the Pastor preaches "you have to be a part of something bigger than yourself"; when he sees you in trouble he now practices; every man for himself. Where the Pastor preaches; "Do God's will and you will be blessed", he now practices; "You're not supposed to be trying to make money, you're supposed to just do it for Jesus" Where the Pastor preaches; "Job's trials were the direct result of God bragging on him", he now practices; "You're troubles are the result of you not taking responsibility for your actions." Where the Pastor preaches; "God provides for the work of the ministry through the tithes and offerings of those not called into full time ministry", he now practices; "You're not supposed to count on man, your supposed to trust God". Where the Pastor preaches; "Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together", he now practices, forsaking you while you are yet assembling with them. Where the Pastor preaches; "You must be faithful", he now practices; "Deserting you in a time of need". Where the Pastor preaches; "Love one another even as I have loved you", he now practices; "If a man does not work, neither shall he eat" and has no problem allowing an able bodied man to go from being able bodied, to disabled for want of food. All of these examples of hypocrisy I have personally experienced from Pastors and confessing "Christians". In my experience, most Pastors teach a "faith" that is not biblical and a trap to those that give Pastors the benefit of the doubt.
@juliecantina84798 ай бұрын
@@scotttovey I hear you, there are a lot of people that live as the examples you gave. Very hypocritical. As christians, we are servants of The Lord. Man has fallen short of the glory of God, this is why we must put our faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only way to The Father. The scriptures say, "draw nigh unto God, and God will draw nigh unto you." When we personally seek Him, He does guide us into all truth by His Spirit. We love and worship Him because He is God, and no one can change that. Our feelings or situations don't dictate who He is, and can never take away from His glory. The scriptures say we were created for His glory and good pleasure. He does all things according the the council of His own will. This is why we must always live by faith, because without Him there is absolutely nothing. We are nothing without Him. I humble myself before Him every moment of everyday because I know who He is, and I know who I am. He is everything, and I am nothing. But because of His great love and mercy I am now become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. And my entire being overflows will gratitude to Him. Good grief. At the 1:32 mark. What kind of objective standard is scripture given that, from the beginning of the faith, Christians have often been at war with each other over who is the true Christian and who is the false Christian. And so often in these arguments, how different believers interpret the bible is the cause of the conflict. As for deconstruction being about self? How many Christians would worship the God they believe exists, if in their beliefs there was no heaven to be gained at the end? In reality, deconstruction seems to be mostly about people coming to doubt what they had been told was the absolute truth. As a result they abandon it for ideas that make more sense to them. Christians themselves often do the same kind of thing, but within Christianity. As an example, a convicted Calvinist and become a convicted Arminian and vice versa.

This also shows the horrible state of our educational system right now. So many young people do not understand how to think logically. So if they have a teacher that says evolution is fact, the student doesn't bother to discern the flaws in the evolutionary model. The same is true when dealing with preaching. If a false teacher/preacher is misinterpreting a Biblical passage, people are just taking his word for it that it is true. The are not doing the logical thinking and research necessary to see if it is true or false. It is very difficult to talk to someone who doesn't understand logical thought.

In this day and age we have Bibles and the internet and you tube. Those who call themselves by the name of Christ have a responsibility to read and study their Bibles so they can know if there is false teaching. Mature Christians also need to call out false teaching not just by pointing fingers and yelling (or posting a You Tube) but to explain WHY the teaching is false and then sharing the Truth. Hopefully to bring fellow believers out from under deception. The pastor cannot do it all! Use your spiritual gifts!

This post is hilarious. Anyone who follows logic and reason will eventually reject your religion. You are concerned that students will be unable to "discern the flaws in the evolutionary model" (tell us what those flaws are, oh wise one) but you don't realize that students are successfully discerning the massive and unanswerable flaws in the Christian model. A person who uses logic is apt to question whether a donkey could have spoken to Balaam, or whether Moses could have turned a staff into a snake and then turned it back into a staff, don't you think? Then there are the flaws in Christian "morality", such as the wisdom of stoning a child to death for being rebellious or God sending bears to rip 42 children to shreds for the crime of teasing Elisha about his baldness. How about Jephthah burning his daughter to death because he made a deal with God for a military victory? Thinking logically is a good idea but it doesn't lead where you think it leads.

That would mean the Earth just magically stopped turning for a while. Are you seriously going to claim that there is any sort of "context" that would make that possible? And speaking of Joshua, archaeology has proven that Jericho was in ruins about 300 years before Joshua showed up, and if you think blowing a horn would knock down stone walls, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. You even pretending to use "logic" makes me want to throw up.

If faith is active trust, then not every expression of faith determines that the object is a religion. If we trust cars will start, and houses will not collapse, that does not mean this is religious. I have heard many say that atheism is a religion, a terrible acknowledgement for any Christian to say. There is a transcendent aspect of all religious faith, even false ones; however, there are many expressions of belief that have nothing to do with 'entrusting' in any transcendent religious aspect. Just because someone believes something does not make it a religion. All religion requires faith, but not all faith expressed is necessarily a religion.

Sadly many, way to many people will not get this. The Lord has given people over to a debased mind. We, believers have a very difficult job in trying to share the gospel especially to a group of people. It's much better to share one on one. One of my favorite lines in a movie was from MEN IN BLACK, said by Tommy Lee Jones he said, answering the question from Will Smith who asked why don't we tell the world that aliens are living among them they're smart enough and Tommy said A person is smart but people as a whole a dumb, stupid animals. In other words ..get a mob together and one person can cause violence simply by yelling something hateful. Deconstruction is not a movement or a belief system. It is a personal journey of examing your own faith and beliefs. It comes from personal doubt. It does not come from post modernism or tik tok. People who deconstruct end up in different places. Some remain in Christianity, some follow a different religion, some become agnostic, some become atheists. Some ,like myself retain a belief in God but no longer follow a specific religion. I was a Christian for 30 years. My journey into and out of the Christian faith was my own. I don't speak for any other person who has deconstructed and I have no desire to change what any one else believes.

Lol Catholics are lucky to have Bishop Barron (for those with intellect) and Father Mike Schmitz (for those that want to practically follow the faith).

I’d disagree, respectfully. It does seem like it is trending to take whatever beliefs one has and tip them on their head. It’s happening with not only Christianity, but also gender, truth, etc. As for changing what everyone else believes, that works as long as the remnants of good and truth remain. When civilization starts to crumble, as it is crumbling, then it does matter what we all believe.

Evangelicals are OBSESSED with the wrath and damnation of Penal Substitutionary Atonement, but that doctrine is spiritually abusive. Governance Theory covers the same truths without the toxic and abusive language because it correctly unpacks what the Scripture means when using the terms "wrath" and "punishment." God's "wrath" is not his heart condition toward us, but his passionate love for us aimed at the sin that harms us - for OUR sake, not the same of the law itself. Likewise, the "punishment" is not God's heart condition toward us, but the just result of the law, which we are unable to keep perfectly. Therefore, the Father gave His only-begotten Son to deal with the sin problem and allow the holiness of God to not be undermined by God's mercy in allowing the trade between out sin and Christ's righteousness, imputed to our account by faith so we are given the status of right-standing before the heavenly court. WE DO NOT NEED PENAL SUBSTITUTION.

@@spc167 Your argument is a non sequitur argument, which if not familiar, means that the conclusion doesn't follow the logical pathway. You might be able to argue that I am mean for putting the cookie there and keeping it from them, but I am not responsible for the eating of the cookie. If what you mean by responsible is that God allowed it, then I agree with you. He did allow it. We can keep talking about that if you like, but can I ask a few questions of you? Do you believe in God? Do you believe in sin? As to you last point, I think that calling people "sinners" CAN be abusive if the intent is to control others by pretending you are not battling against sin yourself, albeit in varying degrees (stealing a cookie vs Holocaust) and then manipulating those "sinners". It is not abusive if one is stating what one believes the Bible states about the condition of all mankind, that is in a sinful state in need of cleaning up by God's free gift.
