If I'm hiring a principal to run my kids' school and my options are a person with 20 years experience as a successful and productive teacher in the classroom or a person who has never taught in a classroom but has been in administrative positions within the educational system or other organizations their whole career, I'm choosing the teacher. Why? They know the needs of students, parents, and teachers. They have lived it and seen it firsthand. Same concept applies for our military, in my opinion. I've also seen examples of both types of principals. The career administrators tried to rule the school from an office, making decisions based on stats, test scores, and numbers rather than on what was best for the students, families, and teachers. The principals who were formerly teachers had a heart for the kids, compassion for teachers, and strive to provide the best for all those they served. As a mom of one son who has been an Airman for over 4 years and another son who was just sworn last week to enlist as a Marine, I want a Secretary of Defense who has been a servicemember, stands up for the needs of veterans, and is prepared to get rid of the policies that are undermining the strength of our military. Recruitment numbers are WAY down. This is a grave concern. Our enemies aren't panty-waists. They don't care a hill of beans about DEI. We have become a laughing stock in their eyes. It's a disgrace. I hope and pray some damage control can be done before it's too late.

You have a good point about the government system America has. Finished up a crew chief in an AHC . I was proud of the military but have paid attention to the government system. A lot of bad politics than and a lot of bad politics now. Communist influence in our government system is gone to far. The checks and balances are not working because of the corruption in the system. A solution to this problem. Can start with abolishing the democratic communist party from our government system. I agree with Hegsteh's views on the military and respect them. How can you say he's a great Christian man? He's on his 3rd marriage and has admitted cheating on all of them, resulting in the first two ending in divorce. His current wife was his producer at FOX. She cheated with him, became pregnant. Hegsteh then divorced his 2nd wife, 3 kids. - including a 1 month baby and married her. She gave birth from their affairs and they married. He then cheated on her whike on a conservative woman's speaking tour. Thisb resulted in a police report . I am not condemning him for an alleged sexualbassault as I see it as consensual. Pete, I think it happened to a lot of us brother. I wondered if the purge started 2014 - 2017. I and many others were forced out of the military during that time when the government decided to downsize. What was odd to me when I got forced out, I had just graduated from the Army Command and General Staff College (resident) with my masters degree. I offered to serve in the active reserves, hoping to continue serving in some capacity. However, I was told by HRC that I did not qualify for the reserves, I would be completely separated. I then called HRC and I asked one of the representatives how and why I did not qualify for the Army reserves, she told me she could not tell me why. I had experience with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, I had just achieved and acquired a Masters In Military Art and Science from the Army Command and General Staff College...yet I didn't qualify to be in the reserves? Sounded very odd. Now looking at what has transpired in the military it all makes more sense. Go get'm Pete!

The beginning of the fall of the military was in the late 70´s 80´s when they dropped standards to recruit women and others who should have never been let in because they couldn't accomplish the PT goals or pass the psyche test. I saw a young man in my hotel in full uniform and he had normal hair-no high and tight and way longer than I'd ever seen. I asked if he was in the reserves and he said nope I'm in the regular Army. could have knocked me over with a feather. When my sister was in desert storm she talked about how unfair it was for the guys who had to carry all the heavy equipment where the girls were braiding their hair. (not her) but all the other woman in her unit were useless. They used up the water rations taking long showers, complained and whined about any physical work, and were basically anchors around the neck of the unit.

Interesting. The very attitude you express toward women in the military is why women are in the military. When men become weaklings and are more concerned about themselves than about others and country, God will use women to lead. I don't know about you but I know some women who are excellent soldiers, airmen, and right now involved in highly secret operations even being called out of retirement because they are so talented. I do not hear them whining like this about men in the military.

@@godswordsstudied There are always exceptions to the rule but in the broadest sense women are not better than men when it comes to war and fighting and you've abviously watched 2 many recent action movies where 100 lb girls fight and take on 20 well trained muscular men. My sister did a good job in the military. So there are exceptions. But no God is not going to raise up women to fight wars and be the leaders. Read your bible.

The court system was a major problem by using the U.S. Armed Forces as a diversionary program. Serve time or enlist in the military in the late 70's.

My Father served in the Marine Corps in the 60's, I served in the Marine Corps in the 80's and my son served in the Marine Corps in the 2000's. All three of us agree that we wouldn't do it again in this country today. It's VERY sad. After the way we've seen the capabilities of the current military have declined and the lack of patriotism and motivation, there's no chance I'd sign those papers today. God please forgive us and heal our land.

28 yr old female from Singapore here watching this and looking forward to what's to come with this new Trump cabinet. Addicted to US political and social commentaries, podcasts and independent media. Watched his full interview with Shawn Ryan and as a woman, I'm not the slightest bit offended on their views on women in combat. I also watched Mike Ritland's take on women in combat on PBD and agree whole heartedly about the dynamics and differences between men and women. I might not celebrate Pete Hegseth as a man given how his sexual indiscretions have been exposed by Megyn Kelly but I dont disagree with one word by him, Shawn Ryan, Mike Ritland and alot of commentators on the right like Officer Tatum, Chad Prather, Sara Gonzales about women in traditionally masculine roles and in leadership. I myself want a traditionally feminine role for my professional, volunteering and future marital life. As someone who comes from a matriarch family of beta, untrustworthy and superficial males who get behind the toxic, abusive and emasculating women they pretend to be happy with, a miserable "successful" judge and top student athlete narcissist mother and her failed marriage, group project member and another female friend with their beta boyfriends/husbands that serve as mere toydogs that follow them around, I have learned from the worst of what not to be as a future wife and until now am obsessively hankering for the mastiff/bison/barbary lion type man of my dreams who brings wisdom and experience from traditionally masculine occupations and endeavors who is a lethal alpha without having to be unnecessarily loud or boastful with the personality of the new border czar Tom Homan, several aspects of Mike Ritland mind and looks wise, some of the exterior of the Luttrell brothers and a little of the vibe of Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Mission Impossible with a heart of gold showing tenderness at home and profound altruism and selflessness without any cameras rolling. I don't impose this on others or start arguments/debates with others but dont like them imposing or questioning me in any way either and its so crippling when people around you dont understand this..... Also agree whole heartedly about not lowering standards or having diversity quotas just for the sake of. I was previously in recruitment and I can tell you first hand how stellar candidates were almost auto rejected despite being more qualified simply because the client wanted a certain race to "diversify" the team or that above 40 was bordering on being a bit "too old" for a data analysis role.
