I would love it if you could add subtitles to orient me as to what I'm looking at. I'm 50 years old and all ever knew of Kirkwood highway was it being a busy 4\6 lane roadway. I can't picture a time where there were fields and trees! I'd love to know where they shot it. Same feelings apply to other films. I do like the added music. :-) thanks for putting these together.

In or around 1965 they built a part of I 694 right through my folks back yard! Fun to see the type of paver that mixed concrete on site! I have never seen it again!!

Looks like it was filmed in the Limestone Road area. BTW I highly recommend the Arcadia Images of America book about the Kirkwood Hwy. Great pics from back in the day stretching iirc from Elsmere all the way to the beginning of Main St. in Newark.

Great footage. My parents lived with my grandparents in Heritage park. I always cruised Kirkwood Highway in high school to get to Main St. Do you have nay footage of Concord Pike construction? I grew up around Fairfax
