Using CMANO, I test the survivability of the Kirov class battlecruiser against an advanced AShM and jamming threat.

Interesting. I like the LRASM, it'd be interesting to see how it works in a real engagement. Make more vids like this!

For the record, the LRASM use IIR and passive radar homing, so they didn't emit anything

It would take at least 20 f18s with the lrasm just to do damage to the kirov class battlecruiser if the defenses on the cruiser operate the way they should. It would take the entire flightline to sink it,that is between 40 and 80 missiles. The attrition rate on the planes would be 50% at max missile range.

Nah, Kirov's carrying oodles and boodles of ammunition not to mention enormous VLS silos. The LRASM's 1000 pound penetrator would blast through the thin deck of the Kirov and cause a magazine explosion easily with such a volatile payload on the ship.

Wouldn't those missiles be better off flying directly in the jamming vector? Can you disable that dogleg behavior?

If you're really interested, this is it: store.steampowered.com/app/321410/Command_Modern_Air__Naval_Operations_WOTY/ Unless you REALLY can afford the standard price, I would suggest you to wait for a deal, as it usually goes lower than 20$. It does not have an official "multiplayer", and the unofficial one (which I haven't tried, only read about) is turn based.

Just fairytale for big kids.

Seems like you want to believe in the fairytale of the 'great' Russian navy. In an intense ECM environment, up against stealth ASHMs, a Kirov-class cruiser would bite the dust.

Ed Walker I agree, but I think (or, rather, hope?) the electro-optical CIWS' would be more succesful IRL than in this simulation. Don't you think? BTW before we get political, I'm basically the opposite to Russian biased.
