I had the pleasure to meet Kirsten a few years ago at an open Mic in Northport village L.I. and sit in with her on pedal steel for a song.She's quite talented, obviously, and is every bit a personable young woman and a sheer joy to play music with.Her original music is also wonderful.Months later I saw she was going to play a spring concert in the village of Northport and barely knowing her I asked if I could come and sit in with her..she was so cool she said " absolutely"...and I'll always cherish that experience, and I told her that as I handed her a Joan Baez double live album on vinyl as a thankyou for letting me play.A great talent and an extremely nice person.

Yes, generally yes but usually it is a struggle for the artist. She struggles here too with booming guitar (hard to acoustically being controlled in such a small room) and luck of deep spacey reverb that is needed for this song. She also changed one or two cords that she is not fully confident it's right and (as with the other famous performance ) she gets her fingers stuck in one place . It happens due to humidity and a little (very little in her place ) off stage nervousnes Joan has absolute rolling of her guitar rhytm while Kerstin takes pauses. Besides this she is fantastic.No matter her voice is almost a ghost of that of Joan , she sings the song with huge impact of personal feeling. What I like it better that she does not hold the notes as long as Joan does. Well Joan does it ruller strajght with no trace of tremble.

Everyone is talking about her beautiful voice but alas, like Joan Baez, her guitar playing isn’t getting the credit it deserves. I'll be honest I got fed up with seeing the video in my recommendations so I finally caved in and clicked on it.
