As an American, I never cease to be in awe of European architecture and I admire Europeans so much for keeping history alive by preserving these beautiful old buildings and bridges. This was a very interesting and scenic tour. It is especially amazing to see where Jane Austen actually lived and the museum with the costumes from her movies. Joerg looked so dapper in the Austen-era hat! Honestly, you two are such gracious tour guides you could take us with you almost anywhere and it would be enjoyable :) And I have to add that your video production is nothing short of top notch; the editing with the superimposed Roman figures was a surprise(!), the careful panning of the beautiful streets and details, the perfect music that enhances but does not distract from the scenery - it all just works so well and makes for a very polished production. As always, your video made my day. Thank you so much and happy spring!

It's incredible that Bath has 2,000 years of history. Kirsten is lovely and has a feminine and soothing voice - some levity, making a shopping list with a quill. And Joerg so debonair in the green hat he tried on at the Jane Austin Centre.

The cool jazz segment, matched the elegance inside the shop where you found that delightful Pear.. Every time you scanned the rooftops , the rows and rows of chimney pots atop all the massive chimneys caught my imagination. i imagine each pot leads to a separate fireplace in separate rooms. The tour of Bath was very interesting and almost overwhelming,. so much to see and explore. i always look forward to what you will be having to eat on your adventures. Kirsten’s breakfast of Avacado Benendict looked so delicious, i could almost taste it. and of course the ‘Cream Tea” at a table with a view of the city, did not disappoint. The high waisted Empire or Regency style of dresses shown at the Jane Austen center, look very comfortable.to wear and very feminine. thank you Kirsten and jorg for taking us along wih you to Bath.❤

I love Bath. It’s such a beautiful city with so many layers of built history. I loved No.1 The Royal Crescent as a visual reminder of how the upper and lower class lived in Georgian Bath. Poor Jane Austen’s living quarters in Bath decreased in ‘poshness’ as the family’s fortunes took a turn for the worst after Mr Austen died. They ended up in a boarding house in an area they had shunned originally as not suitable situated for their class!
@KirstenJoerg6 ай бұрын
Yes! The last building and street where she lived was really posh, a stunning house. I know everything was bad when Mr Austen died.

I was reminiscing with you as you had tea at the Jane Austen Center and walked around Bath and visited the Roman Baths. We stayed for a week in Bath a few years ago pre pandemic. We stayed at a lovely place called the Bath Priory. It was really old (of course) and had a beautiful garden. It was on the outskirts of town and every morning we would walk through the park past a statueof Queen Victoria, then head past the Royal Crescent and into the center of town. We love to walk. We had tea with Mr. Darcy at the Jane Austen Center and enjoyed looking at all the displays. We visited the Roman Baths, the Pump room and walked with a view of the bridge. There is so much to do in Bath. We could have stayed even longer. Thank you for taking us with you! I would love to return!! ❤️
