I spent the first 40 years of my life going to Lavenham for Christmas every year as my grandmother lived in the Market Square next to the Guildhall. As you visualised, it was the most magical place at Christmas time. I had my 21st birthday party in the Guildhall. Loved your beautiful video which has brought back may wonderful and happy memories.

Are used to go to Prague every Christmas and it was like the most unbelievable magical fairytale Christmas place you could imagine on Earth. And then capitalism found it and it became endless Tesco's and Kentucky fried chicken and McDonald's... So sad, but I am so privileged to have known it when it was pure and magical...

Thank you, Kirsten and Joerg, for another wonderful video! The Crooked House - its history, and the house itself, is positively extraordinary! Lavenham must be known for its crooked houses, as the town surely owns bragging rights to more than just the one. It's easy to understand why the town was used not once, but twice, as the backdrop for two of the Harry Potter movies. It has lovely charm, and is richly steeped in history . If, or when I ever get back to England, I'll be sure to visit Lavenham, and The Crooked House! Thank you both, again... You've made my day !

Kirsten, you are a natural presenter and I can easily see you (and Joerg) on TV. The Crooked House is gorgeous. I live in a 600 year old peasant cottage and often wonder how many people have lived and worked in the house. The scariest presence here at the moment are the spiders!

Our English towns and villages are so special, as are the people who live in them. They are under serious threat from developers and councils all over England who are forcing new-build estates in their thousands. I pray we never lose our history and our lovely villages, once gone we can never get them back. I hope videos like this highlight how these places must be preserved. Beautiful video guys ❤

@@KirstenJoergThat's because they have to meet deadlines, and the work is shoddy. I've worked in construction on new properties that haven't been around that long. @@greywebs1944 not just the quality it’s the quantity. Theres something special about living in a small village or town. People know each other and families that go back generations. When hundreds of new people are thrown into the mix in one go, it totally alters the character of the place.

So etwas findet man selten. Zumindest hier in Deutschland habe ich sowas noch nicht gesehen. Ich bin wieder total begeistert von eurer wunderbaren Arbeit. Vielen Dank, und euch ein schönes Wochenende. Being an American, it blows my mind to see such history. 629 year old home! Wouldn’t it be amazing if photos existed of the home from the beginning until today? I once learned on a video that these many homes in the UK where the 2nd story has a larger footprint than the first floor was done for lower property taxation which was based of dimensions of the structures footprint. Also, to stay proper distance from the street both based on lower level only.

This magical Crooked house gives me Harry Potter vibes, even before you showed us the real houses used in the movies.. And than the beautiful Swan with it's beams and high ceilings. All that in one video! How lucky are we?😁🙂

Kirsten, loving Britain as I do, it is always a pleasure to have these wonderful 'wee' adventures with you and Joerg; your heartfelt warmth and enthusiasm reaches us, your calm yet cheery manner is so lovely and appreciated. Joerg, your videography is so enjoyable and artfully done. When I first started watching your videos I thought it interesting to 'visit' such places by your special efforts; but now, a few months later, I am getting so much more out of your videos because of how special you two are. Thank you from my heart for doing what you do so humbly and so well. - Lynn from Oregon USA.

Love this home! Read about it on Facebook and had to find a video on KZbin so I could see the inside of this amazing home. I live in a 200 year old home in the US and am working on remodeling-it’s been difficult because nothing is square. I cannot imagine repairing a 600 year old home!! Thank you for showing the inside. Also love hearing of the paranormal experiences. I’ve had several in my home although they’ve been very quiet over the last 5 years or so. Thanks again for the opportunity to see this home and hear all of the history.
