Kirsty's Nails Using Her Non-Dominant Hand with Acrylic and Glitter

Hi guys,
I know you have all been asking for this and I've finally given in and decided to do a video showing you how I do acrylic using my left (non-dominant) hand!
I know it's a fiddly and difficult process using your non-dom hand for anything but hopefully you can pick up some tips and tricks from this video that will help you out.
What do you think? I don't think I did too badly.

Instructions:

watching these nail videos from England(at least that's where I think you're from) and from Canada it's clear to me that at American nail salons they don't give a shit about your nails. they forcefully rip your acrylics off, no one knows how yo do a design, no one uses glitter, beige acrylic, or care for your nails when you're getting them done. I need to fly to you and get my nails done!

Lauren Hurst probably because many of the nail techs here in America were tricked into believing they'd be living the American dream (if they weren't trafficked). these women didn't become nail techs because they love doing nails but because it's just what they're forced to do. they work at these salons with no days off and the owners take most of their money made. a few of the ladies at the salon closest to me have multiple cigarette burns along their arms. I know that's what they are because I have some myself and I kind of doubt they did it to themselves. of course this is not the case for all but keep this in mind when you see a foreign nail tech that doesn't seem to enjoy their work or doesn't go above and beyond like kirsty does.

I'm not a nail tech but a fully licensed cosmetologist that has a lot of focus in nails because of my own obsession, and there is so much truth to your statement. There are so many people here that do nails not because it's a passion but because they can crank them out quickly, I've got more in my own collection I have to do my own nails then any crap "nail salon" I've ever walked into.

im a nail tech in Canada ive tirned away clients because the natural nails were so unhealthy that enhancements would not hold keep looking you will find a good nail tech we are out there

Sarah Lauer THIS. It took me awhile to make the connection but now see in the nail world, going to a salon with a ton of techs is like going to a corporate owned commercial store. Whereas a private "salon" (usually a single tech doing custom sets and lots of artistry) is comparison to a boutique. A lot of customers unknowingly have expectations of a custom service from a generic salon and that made me sad...just like you said a lot of these techs are overworked and aren't techs by their passion. It's a job for them.

I’ve gotten much better w/practice. Cuticle area is still a pain but I still enjoy trying. Pinching has improved my shape and c curve. I ❤️ your channel. Blessing

Doing my own nails is such a chore.. it takes me 3 days sometimes.. lol!! I have chopsticks that I use with my nondominant hand and it is making it easier to do other things with that hand. Just practice picking up things with the chopsticks whenever you have a few minutes and make sure to pick up smaller things as you become used to what you can do.

Blue sometimes replaces red in this advice. The phrase is sometimes modified to "red and green should never be seen without a colour in between" or "red and green shouldonly be seen upon an Irish queen.

Oh yes, using your non-dominant hand is so difficult! I guess it takes practice to make it easier and easier, like every other thing really!:)

Does it take you long time to make sets on both hands? I am just a beginner and my sets take me around to 6 to 8 hours (I'm not rushing and mostly watch something on computer during that and drink my coffee) but it takes awfully long to file acrylic even with shady e-file. And the other day I was re-doing some of nails and then painted them and I started with left hand and it felt easier, after that I took brush in my right hand and it felt a bit clumsier than usual lol
