one of the things i love most about your content is that even though there might be videos about trends like this already in existence, it's clear you've really thought things through and applied years of acquired experience to explain and thoroughly test something. quarantine was absolute garbage but i finally gave in to my lifelong obsession with nails and was fortunate to find your channel. love it so much!!!

If you remove the jelly stamper slowly it does spread the gel more evenly. And try not to put the gel polish under the nail, so start it on the edge of where the polish starts on the jelly stamper. Also I use a lint roller ( instead of a nail form) for your clothing to clean of the dust ect from my stamper. 🥰
@TallulahFoxxx3 жыл бұрын

Your tip about how not to get gel under the nails is the same as my thought too. Start to dip the nail into the stamper at the edge of the polish, so there is little there to push underneath.
@daniellewoodhead49453 жыл бұрын
Even if you start it on the edge of the gel polish it will still go under the free edge on the sides

If you go slow and clean the underside before curing they work fine. It's great to do it on yourself as it makes it so much easier to do on your non dominant hand.
@kathyhart58923 жыл бұрын
I did this using acrylic paint. I also used liquid latex on the underside of my nail/finger. The paint didn't require a second coat. I suck at smile lines, so this was a good alternative for me (but really I should just work on my lines!). Loved your face when it worked!

I saw someone do gel polish, regular polish and acrylic paint and acrylic paint was much better. It wasn't as thick plus if there is any on the skin or under the nail it just washes off when you wash your hands. After you top coat of course. Maybe try that?

I've done this using gel paint, which definitely helps keep it from getting too bulky, and once you get the hang of how to place the gel on the stamper, you can keep the underside of the nail pretty clean!

What if you were to take a lint free wipe and just touch the edges to bring some of the polish off? It’s like soaking up some of the excess. I’ve seen some others do that and it seems to work. It’s still extra work though. Love that you tried this. ❤️💅🌺

Yep, you know that face you pulled? That was how the rest of us looked when we tried it!!! I can't paint a French tip to save my life, but I can with this! I use it in the holder and I think the depth of the smile line depends on the angle that you insert the nail.

Seems like a good technique if you’re in a pinch and need a quick French manicure. Although as I write this I’m realizing I’ve never had a specific need for a quick French manicure lol. Now I’m imagining a big jelly stamp that could put several fingers in at once 🤣 THAT would be cool!!

Hi from South Africa. It works well on long nails but it's terrible on med to short length. Gets all over the under side of the nail and skin. Also once you have to clean that up (long or short nails) and buff off bulk it's definitely not a time saver. Enjoyed the video

I will just use stencils or free hand it. But I'm definitely not mad at this hack at all, I'd say this works 90% and the other 10% will be you finessing it with a liner brush.
