Though I'm a desk clerk lots of typing paperwork etc..., the bit I love the most about my job is meeting people from all over the world. And I've found that I'm simple discussions if I'm open to speaking about mental health struggles clients are as well. They feel connected and safe to vent or share their stories of struggles and triumphs. And if I can rank to someone and vice versa then we have helped one another and nothing is more beautiful than being kind and receiving it back. I'm a hobbyist doing nails and I've it it's a creative outlet for my anxiety and stress, thank you for being open about your own. I think that is beautiful, truly. Mental health is as important as any other health aspect. Self care is important and I find I don't do it often enough. Loved this video so much. Faye. You're funny and fabulous as always can't wait for the next video. 💕

Thank you for talking so openly about your mental health and why you are taking on clients again. I was getting to the same point. Working from home doing admin so I didn’t speak to many people. Hated the thought of going shopping and seeing crowds of people. So I did something for myself and qualified as a nail tech!!! I’ve never been so happy. For me it was a blessing in disguise. I realized that my work (Having to have interaction with many people per day) was making me sick.....since the epidemic I reduced going out into the public and I haven't gotten sick as much. Anxiety and depression can be debilitating....but if you are aware of these illnesses you can do something about it. There are days when I get bummed out, but I quickly realize it and then I get busy on any one of my projects and it helps tremendously. Anxiety can be controlled by meaningful breathing. SO.....in isolation due to the pandemic, I was able to work on these issues and improve my mental health. I think the key is awareness.....once you become aware of something you are then able to do something about it. As always Kirsty, I love watching your channel!

Without making this post too long…thank you Kirsty for being so open about your mental health, her in the states if anyone was really bad and needed help it’s really hard to find,then a person can’t afford it, if you health insurance covers any of it be grateful, notice I say if, so if to the first comment, if you can find someone, then keep it quiet. Until little bit announced that she couldn’t perform at the gymnastics part of the last games…now it’s become kind of a “thing” here. For a lot of reasons I feel the same depression anxiety, l keep myself in way too much for way too long. You are right! If you aren’t going to fix you…who will. 💖💖 I will start telling myself that. 😊 I do love watching your videos. They give me a smile and a laugh every day. Omigosh Faye! Got to love her as well! I loved the what lesson on duck, I have a friend that lives in Ireland she’ll love it. ❤ Now the nail, I loved the filing lesson! Filing is a pain in the arse for sure! thank you so much for sharin your mental health story. i suffer from crippling anxiety, and i found the world of nail art about seven years ago & jumped down the rabbit hole. it was my creative outlet & it fed that need to learn/stay busy. i'm sooooo close to 3K subs (yay!) but i also find that constant filming/editing can be isolating. so i really felt this vid, momma. thanks again for bein so transparent. we all adore you. I have been watching you since 2018, when I started my nail journey. I ADORE you. I have learned so much and you have given me the inspiration to do new designs and shapes and helped me gain my confidence! You are relatable and real. That’s exactly how I feel Kirst with the social anxiety. I used to be so outgoing I would get excited to get ready and all and now I dread it. Same with clients sometimes I have to leave my desk mid set to go breath and have a panic attack in the bathroom. It’s insane but you’re right we have to change it ourselves but not alone with professional help if need be. The pandemic really messed us up.

Once you experience social anxiety I don’t think it ever actually leaves you- like everything else which makes dealing with it difficult.
