The “don’t” picture isn’t supposed to look horrendous. She’s a professional artist at the end of the day remember so it’s still going to look like a human being. This is purely just to give people tips on how to make their drawings more realistic in general.

Kirsty, please know that what you're doing are PAINTINGS, not DRAWINGS. A painting is not just anything you make with paint. It's a complex piece of art in which the different forms are distinguishable by subtle differences in color and shading rather than by hard (usually black) lines. You took 9 hours to patiently, skillfully build up all the different forms in this totally life like rendering of a person whose image we can recognize right away as it's so realistic. This is a PAINTING if ever there was one!!!

It's weird how her videos make me feel stressed. And i just figured it out. It's the combination of her high pitch in tone of voice, and how quickly she talks, and the lightening fast speed of the drawing. I feel like i can't really see exactly what she's doing because it's not in real time and then with the fast talking and high pitch of voice, it feels like we're in a race. 😂

I like how she draws the "don't". She actually makes it seem if someone ( who is practicing realism) will draw. Usually, other channels that do the "don't and do" draw the "don't" as a child or the worst way possible and making it less likely for a fellow artist to relate or grow with their drawing.

Thanks again for reminding me to sharpen my pencils. I heard you say it before but I forgot. So lately I've seen a slight improvement in my portraits except that it doesn't look like I shaded all of the paper. I was wondering why and then I heard you say it's because the pencil isn't sharp. So I should be good now. Nice work btw.
