What do you use to seal your artwork so it won't transfer? Can you use the same stuff for different types of medium (pencil, watercolor, pastel, charcoal etc)? Thanks :)

On the topic of charcoal, I'm curious if you use a separate tortillions/brushes and eraser for charcoal vs graphite? Is there concern about the dark charcoal accidentally transferring to a future graphite project from those tools? How do you brush off all the little bits of charcoal? Blow them off, or brush them with a drafting brush? Would there be any value in using a workable fixative throughout the project, to protect from ruining the parts that you are already happy with, and then continuing on top of the preserved layer? Is charcoal as easily erased as graphite? Is there powdered charcoal to use in art, as there is graphite powder? Would there be any value/interest to starting a project with a different medium, say neutral tones of watercolor, then adding the dark values with charcoal, similar to how some mix watercolor with colored pencil? Also, do all of the same rules apply to white charcoal? I would love to see white charcoal on black paper. So many questions! lol Thanks for all of the great videos!

When I attended university I was first introduced to charcoal by my instructor through vine charcoal. This messy problem really turned me off of the medium. Imagine my surprise and delight when I figured out there are charcoal pencils! Such a much more enjoyable experience. You make some fantastic suggestions around this issue in this video. Very well done!

Hi Kirsty. You are one of my favorite artist and instructor. I have learned so, so much from you. I have learned more from you in 2 weeks than I have in 4 months from everyone else combined. You explain things very easily and you don't act like a big goof or use sex to get people to watch your videos. I have such a great deal of respect for you. I hope that those who are watching will subscribe and like your videos. I understand how much time it takes to make and post these things. Thanks again.

Wow hace mucho tiempo. Excelente video.
