Such small cities around Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan, used to be the lower-middle class suburbia you moved to if you had no other choice. These areas now have new 4-5 room apartments for $1 million US. This is shocking. The joke about Kiryat Ono is that anglosaxon jews were offered land to live there and they said "oh no, oh no".

I remember it all from 40 years ago. Compared with Europe Tel Aviv/Ramat Gan was cheap then. A friend of mine bought an 1950ties apartment in south Tel-Aviv in 1981 for then about $15.000,- No one wanted to live there near the old bus station. The building looked a bit ‘tired’ but not run down. Israel was just not an economical hot spot. That all changed mid ‘90ties. Around Ramat Gan was nothing. I am shocked by this development. Israel is becoming an urban city state like Singapore. Where will it end ? I LOVE Israel. Tel-Aviv most.

"Miami on the Med"! I would get lost if I lived here, the buildings all look too similar...there is not one iconic enough to look like a landmark to orient oneself! The plantings are gorgeous..but for such a mammoth project is there anything like a town center where people would shop or gather? A large "central" park with a lake or something? At least someone got the message with the smaller "mall" we saw...not located behind acres of asphalt...open to the town, inviting people with outdoor cafes and restaurants, not like all the Azraeli Malls..with no connection to their surroundings, basically sucking the life out of the street. Moshe (Safdie) where are you? Your homeland needs you!!!

Kyriat ono is a suburb city; it has a town center and open spaces there is not big; most people there go to rishon; peta tickva when you want to go out.

@@davidandrew6930 Thanks David.....but a project this huge needs more open space and a place where people can meet and interact with each other....Rishon definitely is pleasant, but one needs a place to walk to ..not a place one needs to drive to....

There's something huge missing. It's not you. It's ....... Playgrounds, kids and adults walking their dogs (OK. I saw ONE! So what?), kids skateboarding (Ok,I saw maybe TWO! So what?). There's hardly NO PEOPLE! It's a ghost town! Why are people wearing a mask OUTSIDE when there's NOBODY around?! Especially outside! I always thought the mask is only for when it's next to impossible to physically distance. When you wear it all the time and you constantly scrub yourself as if you have a flipp'in OCD, You're killing your immune system that way. I'm sorry for the negativity. But this whole covid19 scam is really getting to me.
