Question could you use the cedar fence pickets the rough ones like you were saying the normal 2x6 and are $4 a piece at Home Depot? I’ve seen some using those and routing them in projects instead of the more expensive cedar boards. My neighbor used those on his closet instead of the normal cedar board and and it ended up being 1/4-1/3 the cost in boards. The 4x4 posts would be the most, but I bet you could downsize to the 2x2s for at least some of them to help keep the cost down too.

Yes you can! Though because they are thin I can’t imagine they will last for too many seasons but they would be a safe and affordable option.

I aerated meme cake meal for fungus gnats but after 24 hours there was like white goo on the bag that I had to name cake meal in so I didn't water with it that I make a mistake and was that like good bacteria or bad

I haven't had that experience. I would suggest next time just bubbling for a short period of maybe an hour or so to get it more solubilized and then watering with it.

Can you give your opinion on drybacks please

We tend to discourage them in cannabis with living soils as it can impact nutrient cycling.

Looking to do some soil testing on my 4x4 bed. Is there any instrument i could use to get a good soil sample without digging into my bed? I was thinking like a hollow tube of some sort. Thank you.
@kisorganics2 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t be afraid to dig into the bed, that level of disturbance is fine in my opinion and will allow you to see what’s going on at different depths. That being said, you could fashion something out of pvc to allow you to take a core sample too.

@@kisorganics Thats what i was thinking to get the samples from different places around my bed.

How do you get your soil samples?

Dame tad for someone who sells organic products you seem like you hate them.

Apologies if it came across that way. I don’t like a lot of the marketing around organic products, I don’t believe it’s based in science, but I use organic inputs exclusively in my garden and all my recommendations. I hope that helps clarify it.
