"मोहम्मद रफ़ी साहब" के दुखद निधन पर किशोर दा उनके पैरों को पकड़ कर कई घंटे तक किसी छोटे बच्चे की तरह रोते और बिलखते रहे थे. *"रफ़ी साहब" और "किशोर दा" की मित्रता से जुड़े कुछ दुर्लभ तथ्य: 1) आप को यह जान कर आश्चर्य होगा की "अभिनेता किशोर कुमार" के लिए भी "रफ़ी साहब" ने लगभग ११ गीत गाये हैं. किशोर दा स्वयं एक बहुत अच्छे गायक थे लेकिन अपने ऊपर फिल्माए जाने वाले कुछ गीतों के लिए उन्होंने "रफ़ी साहब" की आवाज़ को चुना और रफ़ी साहब ने भी उसे ख़ुशी के साथ गया. ऐसा था दोनों का बड्डपन। 2) किशोर दा ने रफ़ी साहब से एक बार कहा कि मेरी हार्दिक इच्छा है कि आप मेरे संगीत निर्देशन में गाएं। फ़िल्म "चलती का नाम ज़िन्दगी" के लिये एक गीत गाकर "रफ़ी साहब" ने किशोर दा की यह इच्छा पूरी कर दी पर यह कह कर पैसे नहीं लिए कि, मैं अपने छोटे भाई से पैसे नहीं लूंगा। 3) "रफ़ी साहब की जुबानी:- "सलामत रहे दोस्ताना हमारा" यही कहना था "रफ़ी साहब" का अपने अंतिम इंटरव्यू मे गायक किशोर कुमार के बारे में. लीजिए सुनिए "रफी साहब" की ही जुबानी- "किशोर कुमार को मैं दादा कहता हूं। ‘किशोर दा‘ कहने पर पहले उन्हें एतराज भी हुआ था और उन्होंने मुझसे कहा भी कि उन्हें किशोर दा नहीं, सिर्फ किशोर कहा करूं। उनकी दलील थी कि उम्र में वह मुझसे छोटे हैं और गायकी के कैरियर में भी मुझसे जूनियर हैं। बंगालियों में दादा, बड़े भाई को कहा जाता है। लेकिन मेरी अपनी दलील थी। मैंने उन्हें समझाया कि मैं अपने सभी बंगाली भाइयों को दादा कहता हूं, चाहे वह उम्र में बड़े हों या छोटे। ये सुन किशोर दा को मेरी राय से इत्तिफ़ाक करना पड़ा। किशोर मुझे बहुत अजीज हैं। वह बहुत अच्छा गाते हैं। हर गीत में वह मूड और फिजा को इस खूबी से रचा देते हैं कि गीत और भी दिलकश हो जाता है। मैं उनके गाने बहुत शौक से सुनता हूं। 4) किशोर दा और रफ़ी साहब दोनों ही एक दूसरे का बहुत ही सम्मान करते थे, यहाँ तक कि अपने कुछ इंटरव्यू में किशोर दा ने रफ़ी साहब को गायकी में अपना गुरु बताया है. इसकी एक बानगी देखिये- कलकत्ता में किशोर दा के एक शो के बाद उनके एक प्रशंशक ने उन्हें देख कर अपने हाथ में लिए हुए ट्रांजिस्टर को बंद कर दिया। किशोर दा ने यह देख कर प्रशंशक से पूछा कि उसने ऐसा क्यों किया, इस पर उसने उत्तर दिया कि "ट्रांजिस्टर" पर रफ़ी साहब का गीत आ रहा था और मैंने सोचा कि कहीं आप नाराज़ न हो जाएँ। इस पर किशोर दा ने प्रशंशक से ट्रांजिस्टर पुनः चलाने को कहा और उस से कहा कि - "मैं स्वयं रफ़ी साहब का प्रशंशक हूँ और गायकी में उन्हें अपना गुरु मानता हूँ. कई गीत जिन्हे मैंने गाने में काफी कठिनाई महसूस हुई उसे "रफ़ी साहब" ने बड़ी ही आसानी से रिकॉर्ड करवा दिया। मैं जिस गीत को केवल दो या तीन तरह से गा सकता हूँ उसे रफ़ी साहब 100 तरह से गा सकते हैं. 5) रफ़ी साहब की बहुत इज़्ज़त करते थे किशोर दा..वहीं रफ़ी साहब भी उनको अपना प्रिय दोस्त मानते थे तभी तो सन् 1975-77 की इमरजैंसी के वक्त तानाशाही के चलते तत्कालीन सूचना एवम प्रसारण मंत्री विद्याचरण शुक्ल ने किशोर दा को आकाशवाणी पर बैन किया था तो रफ़ी साहब स्वयं दिल्ली गए थे बैन हटवाने के लिए..ऐसा था दोनो का दोस्ताना! (1975 में एक विवाद के चलते किशोर दा के गीत रेडियो और टी.वी.पर प्रसारित होने बंद हो गये लेकिन कुछ ही समय बाद फिर से प्रसारित होने लगे। किशोर दा अधिकारियों को धन्यवाद देने के लिये आल इंडिया रेडियो के नई दिल्ली स्थित कार्यालय गये तो उन्हें बताया गया कि, प्रधानमन्त्री कार्यालय के आदेशानुसार ही उनके गीतों का पुन:प्रसारण संभव हुआ है।किशोर दा जब प्रधान मन्त्री कार्यालय गये तो उन्हें पता चला कि रफ़ी साहब वहां आये थे और उन्होंने ही श्रीमती इन्दिरा गांधी से यह अनुरोध किया था कि- "किशोर बहुत अच्छे कलाकार हैं और उनके गीतों का प्रसारण शुरू होना चाहिए।" किशोर दा के लिये यह अविश्वसनीय था कि कोई भी व्यक्ति अपने प्रतिद्वंदी के हित में ऐसा करेगा। वापस बम्बई आकर जब वे रफ़ी साहब से मिले तो रफ़ी साहब ने इस घटना की पुष्टि तो की लेकिन, किशोर दा को यह क़सम दी कि उनके(रफ़ी साहब के) जीते जी वे(किशोर दा) यह घटना किसी को न बताएं। रफ़ी साहब के निधन पर किशोर दा ने "रफ़ी साहब" के पैरों को पकड़ कर रोते हुए यह घटना बयान की कि, आज उनकी क़सम पूरी हो गई है,इसलिये मैं यह बात बता रहा हूं। उक्त घटनाओं के बाद से किशोर दा के ह्रदय में रफ़ी साहब के लिए इज़्ज़त और बढ़ गई और वे रफ़ी साहब को अपने बड़े भाई से भी अधिक मान देने लगे. तो ऐसा था दोनों का याराना।. 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😖
