The drum solo is the greatest thing KISS has ever recorded. Does any anyone realise how brilliant that is? The haters haven't got a clue and most of the fans aren't even serious about the music. Criminal.

I wish a lot of people could understand what you just said. But they just don't, and they call themselves fans. But thank you for mentioning it.

Yeah I'm not a drummer but I never understood why people hate on peter

That’s the thing about KISS, most of the ultra brilliant stuff they ever laid down came from either Peter or Ace.

Might be the greatest drum solo of all time....this is a song of drumming in itself primal and hypnotizing...what confirmed me as a drummer-perfectly structured solo keeps the groove going throughout-wish there was a visual of it

Triplets all. I challenge anyone to try it for 20 MINUTES. l figured it out, it's bass 4/4, with triplets. Took me a while, but I got my kit to sound like his. It's hard to get into that groove. I can't imagine doing it for that long. But he was in his early 20s, so there's that. If anyone here drums, it is a BEAST. Peter is one of the best drummers of all time, I don't care what anyone says.

WOW! Just Wow! I’ve been listening to this song for 45 years. I always knew the drums were great, but holy moly!!! What a groove. Thanks for sharing this!

This is a brilliant solo, no way to get wrong, because has its own dynamics, paraddidles, tom fills, it`s like a language between all drums, cowbell, cymbals, keeping the beat, the timing from the begining until final part when entering licks from heavy sound guitars. Take note please, the amount of energy, then slowing down, and following hard drum heads hitting, and Do Not stopping in all the solo progress at all. The Cat had a mental reading about what he was doing.

The drumming sounds great for somebody who couldn't play according to Paul Stanley.

Eddie Kramer Specifically said he did not have to correct any of Peter's Tracks for Alive. Everyone else punched in pieces at the studio. Peter Criss' tracks are the only tracks that are 100% live on Alive. Musician's opinions aside. An immensely talented recording engineer who worked with literally the greatest of the great, seemed to think Peter's drumming was plenty solid. Most people who say otherwise lack comprehension on not only the physically required to drum like Peter for extended periods , but most importantly the musicality(soul/Passion), originality Peter put into his parts. His different approach is still unsurpassed. With out Peters flavor, the chemistry simply wouldn't be the same, he added that extra zest that glued it all together, just spicy enough to compliment the music & keep it interesting. Any other drummer playing anything else & then we start to loose the magic. For example you can hear it when they started secretly hiring session drummers tword the end of Peter being innthe band. The Mojo was in Unison, as a Unit, a Band, without any of them, the Formula is not truly 'KISS'.

I need to add: yes, I got my kit to sound like his with the cowbell. For you drummers, try to get into that groove; it's not easy.

Thank you! Finally, we get to hear Peter's amazing drumming without Paul's moronic "rap."

so the drum solo was added in, it got way louder when it started.
@eksosrock10 ай бұрын
It is because this is ripped track from the Alive album. The other instruments obscures the drums a bit when everybody is playing, so when the solo starts the drums are the only instrument playing and the volume goes up. It is not added in.

Because its AI generated.

It's because it is ripped straight from the Alive! album. The rest of the instruments obscures the drums when everybody is playing, so when I remove them the sound of the drums are the way they are. There is no AI involved here. It's the best thing you can have as long as you don't have the original recordings where you can separate the tracks

@@eksosrock there is an AI programme called Moises which lets you isolate instruments etc . Check it out. It is free for under 5 min songs.
