It’s KISS Wednesday! Dynasty by Kiss is one of my favorites by them, so I’m going with Kiss. However, I’m a petty big Cheap Trick fan too, but only really got into them during the 90’s when I was getting bored with new rock and started playing some catch-up with older bands.

I bought Dynasty in 79 at the age of 14 and didn't like most of it but these days it has grown on me. Bought dream police around the same time and still love it!

I knew from past track by tracks who was gonna win but was surprised to see Kiss won 3. I never got into Cheap Trick, but honestly never explored anything beyond their radio hits which weren't my thing at the time. Dynasty, to me, is the last true Kiss album even if Peter didn't play much if any on it.

Even though "Dynasty" isn't a true Kiss album, it's probably the second best Kiss album for a lot of people. It does flow better than most Kiss albums. Cheap Trick is hit or miss too. But damn, they have a cool sound. Ralph, what Cheap Trick album do you feel has the best flow? For me it's their classic Live album. That was also recorded really good too.

I love Dynasty but Dream Police is such a strong album. I saw Cheap Trick open for STP and man STP totally sucked and I like them. Cheap Trick blew them away big time.

@@almosthuman56 It's funny to me how "Dynasty" became a fan favorite. I enjoy the hell out of that album. It was recorded perfectly and even flowed perfectly. However, Kiss lost so much money on that tour in 79' that they had to end that tour early. But today it's a fan favorite. "Dream Police" still held that classic "Cheap trick" sound. I didn't feel that album flowed together as well as "Dynasty" but I do feel that the album over all was a true "Cheap Trick" album.

My picks 1.Dream Police "Never liked this tune but it wins. 2. 2000 man. I hated "Way Of The World" 3. Sure Know Something. "House is a rocking" sounds to Punk Rock for me. terrible recording too. 4. Going To Raise Hell. I love "Dirty Livin' but "Gonna Raise Hell" is one of my all time favorites from "Cheap Trick" 5. Charisma, It's the better song, but I like the music better on "I'll be with you tonight" Charisma still wins. 6. Magic Touch. Only because Paul Stanley gave some great vocals on this one. "Voices" is a great tune. but it loses. 7. "Hard Times" The song that didn't make his 78' solo album, but it was already recorded. 8. X-ray Eyes. I wasn't a fan of either tune, but this one wins 9. Save Your Love. is my third, favorite tune off of Dynasty. My top three are "Hard Times" Dirty Livin'" and "Save Your Love" 4th would be Ace's cover of "2000 man" and 5th would be "Sure Know Something" I feel like every album by Cheap Trick was really good up till "Dream Police. I loved several tunes from Dream Police, but it wasn't my favorite album from them.

Dynasty is a fairly weak KISS album. Dream Police is an OK Cheap Trick album as their first 3 were better. I’d actually give the edge to KISS but both are albums that I have to lift the needle and skip multiple songs

. I also agree 100% with the first 3 Cheap Trick albums. But "Dream Police" had several tunes on that album that would have worked on those first three albums. They also didn't completely change their style as Kiss did on "Dynasty" Rick Neilson would give Ace one hell of a guitar, battle back in 79. Today he would flat out win playing "Live" Thanks for bringing up those first three "Cheap Trick" albums. I hope someone reads this comment and checks those albums out. A lot of great lyrics to be found on those first three albums.
