Gene & Paul have received a lot of criticism for firing Criss, for the second time in their storied career, but I do understand why they did so. If you watched Criss' performance during the last tour he did with KISS, it was obvious his skills have eroded with age and his playing was sub par given the expectations being on stage performing with KISS demands. I have no problem with Singer and Thayer putting on the makeup and assuming their roles cause they live up to the billing. Singer's playing flows smoothly compared to today's Peter Criss. Maybe not the 1975 Criss, but today Criss struggles.
