@hellrazorofficial91782 жыл бұрын
Actually I believe that belongs to John Bonham. That solid bass drum beat is Johns and all that low tom tom work...and then gong at end...all John B. With that said the best solo in 70's was done by notably Neil Peart on exit stage left/all the worlds a stage. Then you have Bill Bruford/ YES king Crimson on progreszive side of rock. But most drummers would say Buddy Rich and Ginger Baker were most influential for 70's Rock. Any way you look at it. Im glad we had all of them for all of us to enjoy. Cheers
@ronaldwilliams4954 Жыл бұрын
@@hellrazorofficial9178 honestly bro it all has to go to Billy Cobham Neil Peart said it was because of Billy that he became a drummer nobody could touch Billy Cobham then not John Bonham not Neil Peart nobody that dude was a serious powerhouse drummer he plays like he was from another planet! He just played a different style, especially when he did his drum solos. Some people may not know this, but Peter was actually trained to be a jazz drummer. When he joined KISS, however, he had to adapt to the Rock music genre. That gave Peter the perfect chance to play both styles of music in KISS. People pick on him a lot. Let's see them get up on stage, and play to packed houses at least 200-300 nights a year! A lot of the nay-sayers would poop and pee their pants if they were the one being put on the spot like that! Peter Criss will never truly be replaced by any other drummer, as good as they might be. Peter Criss: He's the original, baby!!!!!

You simply do not see nor hear epic drum solos like this at any modern rock concert, period. Peter Criss is the best drummer KISS has ever had and ever will have. Paul Stanley can shove it to say otherwise. The Catman is, was, and will always be the best! =~.^=

Duel Lawn - He chose for personal reasons to leave. Doesn't have anything to do with having talent or not. It's funny, I never realized as a kid they weren't getting along, or Peter and Ace had serious substance abuse problems. They were my band as a kid in the 70's and they could do no wrong. But- when the Reunion tour was announced in 1990 ( I think ) I certainly went. I learned quickly that money was the only reason the promotion was happening and then the band started to show cracks. Since synthesizers and drum machines, computers have destroyed most of the talent that people have or have tried to develop. Many "musicians" became lazy and didn't want to do the work it takes to become a worthwhile group for us hard working fans to see! For many years, especially during the 80's and 90's with the rap groups, we were asked to do all the work! (Raise your hands in the air and swing them like you just don't care!) Why? We pay to see the performers to perform! KISS put on great shows! Molly Hatchet, REO Speedwagon, The Ohio Players, Chaka Khan! Great Shows, Great Memories! But the Rap Concerts? They were cool, just too much work and NO Drummers, keyboard players or guitarists! I didn't go to a concert to pay the performers to watch me work and far too many "musicians" seem to expect that from the fans! Who needs fake? Milli Vanilli please?!!?

Peter drum solos or about sound and feel if the swing was there he was on if it wasn't and his drum solos we're not that good if he had that bounce in his step it was going to be a good solo. Granted he probably should have practiced more what is own time and you know kept up with drummers that were younger than him listen to other people besides just the swing drummers of his era. I think once you left kiss he should have reinvented his style first of all you should have taken a break going to treatment got himself clean and then totally immersed himself into the Jazz world and went and got lessons to reinvent his style from Joe Morello. Or Freddie Gruber, there's no shame in Reinventing yourself hell Neil Peart did it.
