Great musicians is a bit of a stretch. You don't need to be a great musician to play great music. Quite often the actual music gets worse as the individual musicians get better. I love Johnny Thunders and the New York Dolls. Horrible musicians but the music is fantastic

Yes I saw Gene, Paul, Peter and Ace back in 1975. They were just so great. I remember watching Ace play that guitar. Making it sing like he was in his own little world. He was great. And Peter banging on those Drums. He didn't miss a beat. And it was a time when Gene and Paul were really about the band, making it great by doing something they love, singing and playing their guitars and making great music together. Putting 4 legends together. It was a concert I will never forget. Now Gene and Paul are full of themselves, always cutting Peter and Ace down. And they are all about money. They aren't about doing something great for their fans anymore. The money and the fame changed Gene and Paul. Not in a good way. I love the original Kiss. Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter. They were magical.

I am a long time (48 years) KISS fan & I think the best KISS concert that I've been to, was the KISS Symphony concert in Australia, was right up there with the best of them. Over the years, I've been to 25 KISS concerts (in Australia & internationaly) they always put on an incredible show.

I went to the KISS concert at Starwood and I took my son. Other then feeling offended hearing a guy that worked there going through my purse telling me at the same time that he prays it rains because I was wearing a white tee....it wouldn't have bothered me so much if my teenage son wasn't standing next to me. We both enjoyed the concert despite the unpleasantness at the beginning.

Well that era from 1982 to 2002 was very transitional (Ace, then Vinnie and finally Bruce), and they had to take the makeup off to continue due to their popularity being down, in general. Plus don't forget The Elder and how that whole concept bombed. The reunion from 1996 to 2004 was volatile. In the last 20 years, they have been very popular, been very stable as a band and made tens of millions of dollars.

For the first and last time it's the tuning. If you can't get tuning right it won't sound right. I had a good friend who loved Kiss and hated my favourite band the Stones. Then Kiss released Dynasty with a cover of 2000 Man lol Wasn't too bad and I win the argument. Why? Because the Stones never covered Kiss. Why? Because they're a cartoon joke band.
