Why call this a sound check? It’s a planned performance. Soundchecks take place after the backline systems have been set up onstage, to make sure everything works and dialed in to the room acoustics. They’re on a side stage. 😊

Drummer is above the Norm (not MacDonald, well yes he is. By 6 feet, sick! Norm would like it.) and the rest is just you. In 74 or 75 I seen you guys at the Palace Theatre in Dayton Ohio, 3 rows back, maybe 4, far enough not to turn into a hot dinner, the first album. It was perfect, on time, couldn't tell the difference from the album. I am disabled, not much to get life but I really enjoy music. I think that the time we have left before the real Messiah comes is with years, not a decade. If you have not been blown by the wind I pray you are.

Tons of bands do this. There's usually a q+a, exclusive merch, and early entrance and sometimes photo, kiss is definitely not the first band to do this. It's usually not a traditional sound check that you are thinking of. It's more a mini show than anything.
