That's interesting. We have such different points of view on this. I got the cd, saw Tommy wearing Aces costume & knew KISS was done. They've been continuing for 20 years since but It's not a version of KISS I've thought highly of. That said, for many this is the only version of KISS they've known. I'd encourage you to watch the Winterland concert from 1975 ( in black & white). They were the "very special guest" that night i.e. one of the opening acts.

Yeah, so I was still in highschool here, and saw them during the reunion when they came to upstate, and my dad was such a a big fan I didn't know other people made music, but anyways I remember this, and was excited and then immediately said who the fuck is that, and was disappointed because I knew they weren't taking the make up off, I remember seeing Last Kiss and it wasn't Peter and I thought oh he must have been sick or something, then I saw this two years later and knew what they were doing

People would go to buy tickets for their shows even if they didnt appear at the gigs, cause they are just too loved and adored. Poor Peter...without Ace he seems so out of place here with the other three. Paul claims in his book that they were required in their touring contract at the time to have at least three original band members on stage, which is the only reason that Peter is here and not Eric Singer. I like Peter and his voice was missed after he was gone, but he and Ace always felt like a combo deal to me instead of Peter and Gene (who as the rhythm section should have had a tighter bond).
