KISS - It's My Life

This song was brought to the band as early as The Elder era. Paul wrote the chorus and Gene wrote the verses. It was out voted for every album since. (WHY?) In 98 it was finally recorded for the Psycho Circus album by the original line up and once again not chosen for the final cut. Should have been!!!

Absolutely sonic nuclear detonation, one of the greatest Power-pop songs ever written......actualy fuck that. It was record by Wendy O Williams; it was given to her by Gene Simmons. Gene produced, and wrote some of her songs for, surprise surprise W.O.W, which "It's My Life" appeared on. Just because an artist recorded a song, doesn't mean the artist wrote the song.

@lovegungoodfun It was on Williams' "W.O.W." album along with two other tracks written by KISS: "Thief in the Night" which KISS later recorded for their "Crazy Nights" album, and "Ready to Rock." Gene, Paul, Eric, Vinnie and Ace all appeared on Williams' album. It's not a bad album, especially "Bump and Grind."

This is the second version of the song recorded for Psycho Circus as stated above by sweetpain however Tommy played the solo and the drums were more than likely Kevin Valentine or possibly even programmed. It's not Peter Criss. The original version that was done for COTN featured Bob Kulick on the lead. Wendy Williams version is the same track with Kiss playing, just her vocal and different mix.

I frankly don't know why they kept this song in the dusty files, when it would of been a great follow up or a great compliment to Crazy Nights or even be the happy song Animalized doesn't have , In fact it could of been a great compliment to Raise your Glasses in Psycho Circus or better yet a great contrast to Stand from Sonic Boom, its classic fresh and sounds KISS in the PURE! No, it was written for KISS for "Creatures," and when they didn't use it, Gene offered it to her. Not an uncommon practice for Gene. Like on "Hot in the Shade," when they didn't use Gene's "Something Wicked This Way Comes," he gave it to Doro Pesch for the album he produced for her. "So Many Girls, So Little Time" was written around the time of "Animalize," and when it missed the cut, he gave it to Keel.

Umm...No. Try actually reading the credits on Wendy's album. It was Wes Beech. It's the only song credited to him. Ace is credited on an entirely different song, and Micki Free gets credit for the lead work on the rest. If it wasn't Wes, they why wouldn't they credit Micki or Ace? Makes no sense.
