I was given tickets to a kiss show by my friend, his wife couldn't go , so what the hell I went , my honest opinion on the show ,the theatrics were awesome , but that's exactly what it was.. a theatre production , I've seen kiss in their prime with and without make up , so seeing late 60s paul & 70 yrs old gene well...it was awful ... and it was completely obvious paul was lip syncing he stepped away from the mic several times .. while the lead vocal track was still running not even caring .. the backing vocals were piped in too .. I know alot of people don't care that they lip sync and that's OK, but it's not for me ... I want to see a band play live and really sing live ... it's completely obvious listen to the first verse of detroit rock city , that's paul really singing, then suddenly there is a distinct audible change in the vocal at the first chorus when the recorded vocal track pops in - it is blatantly obvious - if kiss put a disclaimer on every ticket letting fans know not everything is live , I think I would be OK with the lipsyncing , what bugs me is they are attempting to fool or trick the audience ... not good for rock music at all ,very shady .....

The "lip-sync-thing" and added vocals to rock concerts is not new at all. A lot of 80ties bands had/have their signature backing vocals running, mostly triggered by the drumner or the person at the mixing console. And please, we're not talking about newer, younger acts using "autotune" all over the place, because they cannot even hold a note. Paul has done this since 1973, people ! Give him a break, and they want to give the fans for the last time, a final "Kiss goodbye" . So let them please do that with all the possible technic available these days. 👍
