Eddie Trunk is a massive Kiss fan. I was too up to rock and roll over then I switched to Rush. Still a fan of the early days kiss with the original Catman and Spaceman. I can totally understand why Eddie is hurt. This is fresh and it just went down. Haters will hate but Eddie could crush most people on kiss trivia and he’s always loved the band. So in conclusion, Eddie Trunk can have an opinion as long as it’s what Gene and Paul define as an opinion. I can tell the man is a little crushed. Never meet your hero’s.

I asked him once about Clutch who have been around for 30 years now and he said something along the lines of I’ve heard of them but never listened to them. I’m paraphrasing, but it was something along those lines then brushed it off. He is not the bastion of all things hard rock and metal. It’s a great selling gimmick though.

Hey, if I can give these guys credit for 1 thing it would be I as a Kiss fan got the last laugh on those who laughed at me for liking them back in the late 70's. I got shit thrown at me and ridiculed wearing my Kiss shirt and the fact that Gene and Paul have that fight in them that vindicates me now, Thank you guys!! Eddie, the problem is while your love of KISS is nostalgia oriented, worship of the original lineup in regards to wearing the makeup, Paul Stanley found himself in a band with a drug addict guitar player barely capable of performing & an angry insecure drummer so they essentially broke up... But Paul really didn't want it to end, didn't want other people's psychological problems to ruin his life too... so he hired a some great emotionally stable players in an attempt to rebuild the band and continue on. Basically, Paul was trying to rebuild his life/career too in this notoriously difficult business to stay on top... BUT then YOU went on a very public multi-year campaign to slander and trash Paul's band, the current version of KISS in makeup. Now think about this, if you would've been successful convincing the concert loving public to boycott KISS, to not go to the shows, you would've ended Paul's career & presumedly hurt him, his actual life, very badly so he doesn't like you DESERVIDLY!!! Be fair, be honest Eddie.... If another high-profile person in media dedicated hours & years to trashing your career, trashing your radio show, because you needed to make some changes on account of the dysfunctional people within your entourage that either quit on you or had to fire we both know you wouldn't approve of people on your team being a guest on their program. Stop playing stupid, you caused this by foolishly trying to slander Paul's best efforts to keep the KISS machine alive. So just live with it and stop pretending it doesn't bother you. Clearly, you're far more obsessed with the Paul feud than he is. He wrote you off like a spouse who blew the neighbor while you were at work trying hard to pay the mortgage. You're permanently on the outside and he's moved on. The fact that a rock star/artist is sensitive isn't news and means nothing because even a hard core emotionless person wouldn't have anything to do with someone who aggressively tried to ruin their bands reputation. My first concert was a kiss show when I was 12. I have been a kiss fan since for over 35 years. I have seen kiss play Over a dozen times since 1987 and I stopped going in 2003 because of the fact that Tommy and Eric were in Ace and Peters make up. I have not been to a kiss show since. And will not go. The show is stale and predictable. Eric and Tommy sound technically perfect but there is no soul.
