I grew up with KISS from the beginning the records, the shirts, the lunchboxes. We had so many posters in our rooms we couldn't see the walls. KISS was Me and my brother's childhood. And Friday night was my FIRST concert EVER.I waited 48years to see KISS and it was the BEST night of our lives. When they started the first song of the concert I latterly cried. It is the end of an era and the end to the past growing up. Another chapter from the 70,s is now part of history. My brother and I saw the beginning of KISS and after waiting 48 years we saw the end. But they will ALWAYS be a part of my life growing up. KISS ARMY..........

This is what it's all about....I'm a kid from the 70s too and nothing quite beats a Kiss show and I'm so happy you guys got to experience it in person!!!! I loved the heartwarming post and yes I cried too...both at my last concert Oct 29th 2023 and watching the ppv. Kiss is always going to be a big part of us that love them as much as we do!!! Beautiful words you wrote!

Nice. I had the same obsession with them as a kid in the 70’s. My first show was DYNASTY in 79’ and UNMASKED in 84’ I bet they pulled out all the stops at this show.it’s awesome you had the chance to see their Final Show.

Let me make sure I understand. You grew up on Kiss (so did I). You were one of those fans that was with them from the very beginning. So was I if I can cheat a few months) and call Hotter than Hell the very beginning. :) (FWIW, I bought the debut Kiss album a few months after I bought HTH.) . You covered every square inch of your walls with Kiss posters and photos from Circus, Hit Parader, and Metal Edge (I had a Kiss poster on my bedroom door and closet door.). You bought all the records, shirts, lunchboxes, Kiss dolls, and probably a Kiss coffin. (Although I wasn't into the merchandise (other than a Kiss Alive & RnRO T-shirts), I bought & still have, 8 Kiss LP's: Kiss (debut), HTH, DTK, Alive I, Destroyer, RnRO (the last of the TRULY GREAT Kiss albums), LG, & Alive II). You wrote, 'I waited 48years to see KISS and it was the BEST night of our lives." OK!!! I HAVE ONLY 1 QUESTION FOR YOU! IF YOU GREW UP ON KISS, TOTALLY ADORED KISS AND HAVE CONTINUED TO ADORE THEM FOR 48 FRICKEN' YEARS PLUS, WHY DID IT TAKE YOU 48 YEARS TO SEE THEM!!! C'mon! I was only a Kiss fan for 3.5 years and I saw them twice and this was a couple of years before I had a driver's license. Furthermore, I lived in rural KY and had to travel 2.5 hs to see them! (I'm sure others had seen them 10, 20, or even 30 times by 1977, which was the last time I saw them.) Unfortunately, I didn't care much for their music after Love Gun, which I thought was a very mediocre Kiss album and the beginning of the end of the original band. My 3 favorite Kiss albums are: #3 Kiss (debut), #2 Alive I, and #1 Rock n' Roll Over. Nevertheless, their first 8 albums were remarkable albums especially when you consider the fact that they released their first album (Kiss) on Feb 18, 1974 and their 8th album (Alive II) on Oct 22, 1977. 8 Albums in 3.5 years!!!! Those were the days! These 8 albums had a huge influence on so many hard rock/metal (and even country music) musicians of the 1980's and 1990's and continue to influence musicians today. Rock n' Roll Over remains my favorite Kiss album (especially the songs that Paul wrote). The early Kiss albums helped define the beginning of a hard rock era that would dominate rock n' roll for the next 15+ years!

Couldn't be said better really 🥂 Everyone wanted to hear that. I think at some point they said they were showing imagery of past members, not sure if they did. Also not sure if Eric Carr's likeness can legally be used based on past litigation with his estate. Guarantee Bruce would have jammed a song with them, maybe someday we'll get the answers. No KISS magic without the Spaceman and the Catman. Sorry. It is what it is. Gene was a real dickhead for saying Ace and Peter "weren't employable". Listen, Gene. Ace and Peter were the magicians, and you two were the mechanics. That's simply all there is to it. Without them, no Shout It Out Loud, no Hard Luck Woman, no I Was Made For Lovin' You, and (take this both ways) no Great Expectations.
@mebeme0077 ай бұрын
However, here you both are, commenting on a video about KISS and the bands last ever live performance after 50 years. And it was Gene and Paul that went through the ENTIRE 50 years, when others were too high, too drunk &/or too selfish to continue to be part of a PROFESSIONAL band. Any fool can create magic. Whilst they blame booze, drugs and everyone but themself for why they were not considered professional enough to be a part of a legitimately professional band. It takes a genius to create magic and maintain that level of success for 5 decades. Gene and Paul certainly added their own magic to the dynamic, for the loyal fans. They wouldn't have lasted 50 yrs, and this video wouldn't be here for you to spew venom on, if it weren't for Paul and Gene, as well as Tommy and Eric. PURE AND SIMPLE, BOTTOM LINE. Hate on them all you like. Childishly label them a "half band". But that half band kicked butt for 50 years and has a legacy that will last a lot longer than you and I will be alive for.
@BrutishYetDelightful7 ай бұрын
@@mebeme007 They kicked butt from 1975 or so until 1978 or so. I remember it well, I was around then. After 1978 things started to get less good progressively. Sometime between 1978 and 1980, the Ramones dethroned their asses as Kings of New York. Kiss had another good little run around when Animalize came out, and that was pretty much it. Crazy Nights was an affront to God and man. I saw them on that tour. I was actually there to see Ted Nugent, who opened. It was his last tour with his original band, before the Damn Yankees.

@@mebeme007 I totally agree with you and the haters will always hate, yet I find it hilarious they keep touring KISS videos on KZbin to spread their hatred, like their opinion matters lol. They likely hate their own life, so they feel the need to bring others down by raining on their parade, as misery loves company. People still crying about Ace and Peter who had the world by the balls, but threw it away themselves. Ace at least has done okay on his own and his new song rocks, but he can't play arenas or larger venues and Peter never accomplished much on his own, so they were their own worst enemy. Tommy and Eric were the consummate professionals and were class acts the entire time and had Ace and Peter appreciated what they had a little more, then things might have been different. As far as money goes, Paul and Gene definitely deserved more than Ace and Peter, because they were the driving force and glue that kept KISS alive for 50 years, where as Ace and Peter messed up, quit or got fired on different occasions, so they can cry about money all they want. Ace couldn't even show up in the studio at times, as his partying and attitude likely affected Gene and Paul more than any of us fans could realize or understand and I wouldn't even want to work with guys like that on my own job lol. Had we depended on Ace and Peter to lead KISS, KISS would have ended long before they even got big, so thank you Gene and Paul, as KISS IS IMMORTAL AND FOREVER !!!!
