Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, U2 Thank you all in behalf of Bosnian and Herzegovinian's. Thank you for recognizing what was needed there and show to The World and to our children that they have something to learn from.

I just watched this film. It’s an emotional thriller where music, art and survival are intertwined in an untypical harmony involving people of Sarajevo during the war. It’s a time when hope and despair were colliding daily moving from a nightmare to a dream. Beauty, creativity and humanity versus darkness witnessed by U2 and many Bosnian musicians. ❤

I was there during the war (as a teenager at the time) and remember U2 coming to Sarajevo right after the war when everything was in destruction and so much pain. I appreciate you talking about my country and what we Bosniaks have been through, but you also need to talk to Palestine and the gen*cide they are going through right now. If you are a humanitarian you don't pick and choose.

Not only Bosniacs, but Croats, too. In this case Sarajevans.

In the darkness of the war atrocities people embrace art and music as a refuge and place to escape ugliness of hate and destruction. This story from Sarajevo war days is about that.People of Bosnia are tremendously thankful to everyone involved in this project. In the same time there is bitterness around it witnessing the genocide in Gaza watched by the world in silence. Who is helping Palestinians?

I have followed U2 since I was 12, around when their HTDAAB album came out. I can personally tell you this band is truly the greatest and most important band in history. They’ve used their voice and celebrity to not only inspire people, but to actually make a difference in people’s lives. They could’ve easily fucked off and lived a typical rock star life, but they didn’t. That’s important. For anyone who sees this comment, I highly recommend reading “At The End Of The World” by Bill Flanagan. Bill followed the band in the early 90’s and the book gives an inside perspective of the band’s commitment to giving the people of Sarajevo a voice during their Zoo TV concerts. Also, to the people of Sarajevo, I salute you for your courage and ability to find joy in a turbulent time. The world today needs more people like you ✌️

Just saw the film and it’s a story that needs to be told. The events may of taken placed decades ago but the message is just as relevant today.

U2 lived through their own civil war that tore their island into Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The Irish rugby is still united as a whole Ireland. America happens to like their music, and so do the people of Sarajevo.
@sarakisija31925 ай бұрын
What happened in Bosnia was not a civil war! Your comment implies that it was. It was a carefully planned out genocide.
@gerardodwyer59083 ай бұрын
BS. Bono wasn't born when Ireland was partitioned in 1922, and civil war preempted the formation of the Republic of Ireland.

Some do, unfortunately it’s easy to be on the right side of history when it is the past. Thank you for pointing it out. You cannot change the past, bring the dead but you can try to change the current course and prevent more suffering, more death.
