This has always been one of my favourite Disney songs of all time. Thank you for the tutorial! The rythm is quite hard to sing to the island strum and i am having a bit of a struggle, but i guess a few days of repetition and practice will fix that. I know you have heard this a thousand times, but you are the best teacher. you go slow your pleasant to listen to & beautiful to watch. We went on a cruise last Dec to Hawaii. I learned a few songs on the way. It was so much fun. When we docked in Honolulu 1st thing my husband said lets go buy you a uku. We did & I've been playing ever since. We bought a concert & since then I have bought tenor & a soprano. Some day I would love to add yours to my collection. Would be totally awesome. Start by just doing 1/4 notes, or even whole notes, while singing the melody. This will help identify which syllables the chord changes fall on, also helps for figuring out if the song is 3/4 or 4/4 timing. Once you have the chord changes timed properly with the lyrics you can start making the strumming pattern more dynamic. In general I say that you need to practice strumming until you can comfortably carry on a conversation while strumming in the background. Once you can strum and talk it's not much further to strum and sing ;)

I notice that you double the strum at certain parts while it's a single strum at others but it doesn't signify that on the chord chart (or on the video). Am I missing something here? Would love some help...
