Great vid , thanks. the rcp500 is a large loop placed between the other two, could this have affected the results by induction from the other probes . Did you check with single probe first ??
@KissAnalog2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback Dave! It is possible - I'll do another more indepth comparison/review soon. I don't think it would have had any large affect, but I'll have to investigate.

You can use a thin object as a pointer. The camera auto focus feature hunting for focus between the scope screen and your hand.

Hey Eddie, I hope you're well. Thanks for another great video showing off the wonderful Micsig gear; I want all of it! Any chance you could compare CMRR for the Micsig diff probes DP10007 and DP750-100 as per Dave's method in EEVBlog 1521? I'd love to see how well the improved shielding style of the helps to reduce noise and make up for the lower output voltage for lower measurements. Forum posts also show people wanting to choose between the two based on whichever has the lower real-world CMRR, but no one has compared them yet (I think), and Micsig supply conflicting CMRR values online. Thanks!

Low frequency switcher....... love it and it definitely puts the "so called" switch mode/linear power supply debate to rest for the audiophiles who don't use the science to get the performance they want.

Interesting experiment, thanks. My conclusion is that I'll look for a cheaper current probe, LOL.
@KissAnalog2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Here's a video showing the more expensive Micsig and the Hantek which is very reasonable (around $65, Please use my link at the video description;) kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXu5eKR9n7CfbNE

I just bought 2 of these RCP500 probes, and I think i will try to return them. My application was to measure current at 200khz AC sine wave current, and the resulting waveform is totally wrong, phase was ~90 degrees and amplitude about 50% too big compared to current transformer that I know is pretty good. Very disappointed. Im using it with the adapter on a Rigol scope.
@KissAnalog Жыл бұрын
Thanks for this feedback! What current level were you trying to measure? I will try to duplicate that to see what I can measure. Did you compare the measurements to any other probe?

It's a shame that the generic BNC version of these probes (CP503B, and CP1003B) are about double the price of the micsig only probes. Still way cheaper than a name brand one that also locks you into their ecosystem, but I wish the 'B' versions were a bit cheaper.
@MicsigOscilloscope2 жыл бұрын
what is your dream price of CP1003B and CP503B?
@KissAnalog2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your responding Micsig! I think if the B versions cost the same or near the same people would be happy. What do you think #supermumex?
@supernumex Жыл бұрын
@@MicsigOscilloscope Yes, if the B version were within about 10% of the non-b versions, I would buy it instantly.

I don't get it....Why don't you get led drivers from the cheap ones most of them are without an inrush lowering add-on circuit and you can measure AC inrush on 10w up to 400+ times the running current.That is practical and useful for these clamps/ coils specially paired with portable oscilloscope.This is huge problem because there is combined inrush burning contacts on switches,timer contacts,contactors,breakers,RCD type devices causing C curve/ overload protection to be out of range even change of wiring because of doing old way calculations without this inrush components.Even doing some video for AC voltages 110v up to 440v 50/60 Hz for pollution on AC circuits how to be monitored,what osciloscope set up will be best for ,harmonics,transients,noise ,pulsating DC in AC wave pollution. All these videos on oscilloscopes are these days practically don't touch the elephant in the room.Do you know that AC type RCD fitted with years don't protect in presence of pulsating DC.Now image what is going on in recent years with led drivers- world wide change to type A.The cost is in $ 10000000...
@KissAnalog8 ай бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. I don't know what you mean by led drivers? I'm just comparing the current probes here, but I do have other videos talking about how to limit the inrush current. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3mnoZ6kba-HlZI
